When did Netflix add st insurrection

Tcsfan

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
I was just typing in star trek in my serch thing on my wach instantly and I saw insurrection I don't normally type in star trek because I have it on my instant queue but I decided to add the animated series to it so I typed in star trek and there it was how long has it been on there

They just put it up, not sure why that's the only movie on their but maybe they'll add the rest soon.

One of the netflicks has most if not all of the films - I was flicking between regions the other day and saw them - might have the Canadian one.

Yeah, I actually enjoyed watching it again last night. In HD 1080p and in Dolby 5.1, it was pretty nice even though the story didn't change. ;)

Did they take down Trek '09? I watched that a few times. Brilliant HD.

I get more enjoyment out of my $8/mo netflix account than I ever did paying $100/mo for cable.

Hmm.

I tried to play it last night and there was no HD option.

Paramount added a bunch of films last week. Too bad INS was the only Trek film. (And I'm one of its defenders.)

I hate how Netfilx works sometimes. It seems as they put new stuff up, they take stuff down.

There was something I wanted to watch a couple of weeks ago that I know I'd seen up there in months past. But when I went to look for it, it was gone.

I have to think it's studio interference because I can't believe that, in this day and age, it's a storage issue.

Punctuation marks, lady, punctuation marks.

It is.

Stupid contracts.

It's not interference. Netflix pays for the rights for shows and movies, which is normally two years. They must have some sort of algorithm to determine what people are watching and whether it is viable to keep paying for it.

When I reference "stupid contracts", I'm talking about the studios demanding more money to carry popular content. If the studios know they have something that is in heavy rotation on Netflix, when the contract expires they're going to make Netflix pony up.

They did, unfortunately, some time ago. "Star Trek" (09) was part of Starz Play and when that contract ended, so went "Star Trek."

All the other TV episodes are up. It's only fair that TNG's two-hour eighth season be added to the list. The whole seasons' budget was, in fact, devoted to those two hours. That's why the production values were so high.

Sorry, sorry. Someone had to do it.

Ah yes, TNG Season 8, which is chronicled on twitter @TNG_S8!

Three randomly chosen quotes:

The crew discovers a planet populated by billions of Riker clones. Picard brokers peace between the bearded majority and non-bearded rebels.
Wes gets trapped in a bunker with an obnoxious child king. Riker wakes up on Risa with a lower back tattoo and no memory of his last 3 days.
Q's back: he's wearing scuba gear and needs Picard's help dumping his girlfriend. Barclay accidentally locks himself outside the ship.

Not to mention Enterprise's deleted gem from season three. The Interregnum had William Shatner appear as a Xindi-Aquatic. :rommie: [/old TrekBBS joke from 2003]
