Spoiler revealed in new game trailer set in NuUniverse?

I'm a bit disappointed by New Vulcan - from the art, screenshots and video we've seen, it looks exactly like Old Vulcan. While it makes sense Spock Prime would choose a world similar to the old, it turns Vulcan's destruction into a "squint a bit and it never happened" thing. I'd have liked a visually distinctive New Vulcan.

I would've thought Delta Vega would be a front runner since it is in the Vulcan system. But I stand by my earlier conclusion that Spock Prime planted New Vulcan on Cestus III, which is why the Gorn are the villains of the game.
i have an idea how to retcon Delta Vega.

Make a Delta Vega Major and Deta Vega minor like they do it Star Wars. You don't hear that Kirk was dropped on Delta Veg Minor because it's obvious that in that sector there is only on Delta Vega.

New Rapping Sensation "Vulcan Ice"
If there's a math problem, yo he'll solve it.
Way cool. Can you imagine a Vulcan Rapping math Sums and relating them to Real life concerns as solutions in his raps? (Hell...If Shatner can do his monotone raps, surely a Vulcan can drive a rap)

Damn, now I'm regretting not being a Sleazy Promoter in the 23rd - 24th Centuries :(

That's good, I like it.

Fits with Kirk in the comic series referring to being marooned on "another Delta Vega" when he tries to strand Gary Mitchell.

They also look more simlar compared to the game gorn. I guess we will see many kind of gorn, species can mutate in many ways. just look at ants.

The as-yet-unreleased novel To Seek A Newer World says Delta Vega is a generic name given to worlds owned by the Delta/Vega Mining Corporation (as in, Delta IV, home of the Deltans and the Earth colony on Vega IX)

The Typhon Pact novels say the Gorn have multiple castes/subspecies. There was an amusing baseball game on Cestus III, where the humans expected to slaughter a team made up of the big, slow, lumbering Gorn type Kirk fought in "Arena". They got a team of ultrafast, intelligent Velociraptors instead.

It's nice to see this backed up in the novels, but it was really a logically inevitable result in the first place. I mean, it's not like we don't have different places with the same name in the real world.

^True. Delta Vega isn't even the first time it's happened in the Trekverse. There are two planets named Cheron - one from "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield" and one that was the site of the final battle during the Earth/Romulan war.

^^The baseball game was actually from the STO novelization The Needs of the Many.
Whoops! You're 100% right.

Actually the novel The Romulan War: To Brave the Storm treats those as the same Cheron.

I'd have a bigger problem with two Delta Vegas if I didn't live in a country with places named Rome, Carthage, Memphis, and Alexandria.
