Well, as I've said before, believability has nothing to do with the appeal of the show. It's not believable at all. It's an Irwin Allen show for the 21st century. I watch because I like the characters, the actors and the situation. For me, just the business with the kid writing out his will is enough to make this a good episode of Falling Skies. Same with the character and relationship development with Weaver and Tector.
The sub-plot with the little girl and her brother was also interesting. It looks like she's mutating, which supports the theory that the skitters don't look quite like that in their normal state. Her brother appears to be farther along in the process. Presumably in the next couple of episodes we'll see more of these mutated Humans-- Human Skitters, I guess.
