A fun drawing I made of Captain Kirk roughly eighteen years ago, on the eve of the theatrical release of STAR TREK GENERATIONS. I was very, very excited about the new film coming out and went on a little bit of a Trek-related art binge, drawing quite a few things related to the franchise as well as my own fanfic and short story characters.
Man, I can't believe this was eighteen years ago. The memory's almost as fresh as what I did this past weekend.

You know, before my friend sent me the copy of this old drawing I had completely forgotten little details I put into it. Like the communicator velcroed to Kirk's left thigh and the crow's feet in the corners of his eyes.
This picture brings back a ton of memories from 1994. Not to get all sappy and misty, but that was a pivotal year for me as well as my family and that time will always mean a whole lot when it came to my maturation and outlook on life.
I have another one I can post...it's a little goofier and it's a completely made-up character I created for my old fanfic and short stories. Maybe you guys will like it as well.

I even designed the drawing to sort of look like a late 24th Century trading card of "Famous Starfleet Officers," right down to the copyright date in the lower right hand corner. Kinda silly and all, especially in retrospect after all these years, but I did put a ton of work into this character and his crewmates. Developed either partial or complete bios for each senior officer aboard his ship.
