Anyone finding any good prices/deals for this set in Canada? So far the best seems to be $79.99 from BestBuy. I have yet to find out what other store, like WalMart will be selling it for though.
Amazon.ca is the same so that's why I'm ordering it from Amazon.com for twenty bucks less. Even with the cost of shipping it'll still come out about fifteen or so bucks less. And, yeah, you can order stuff from Amazon.com from Canada. I've done it often when the price difference is too much or the item isn't available on Amazon.ca or elsewhere.Anyone finding any good prices/deals for this set in Canada? Hmm, this is another one where I think the original has some elements that are a bit stronger, in particular I like the blue edge highlights on Data that are gone in the new composite.
Love how those sparks look in HD though!
No the new one is definitely better, they tended to be too bright with the glow fx in early STNG. Now we can actually see Data.
Don't mind RAMA, to him new automatically equates as better. He will just keep parroting his stance from the TOS-R discussions he's taken part of over the years.
My Amazon order shipped yesterday (Saturday)!
Hoping I somehow get it a day early but I'll have the movie screening to hold me over a day.
I feel like I'm in a dream... TNG in HD...and in the movie theater...amazing!

I don't recall ever seeing any....I'm ordering it from Amazon.com for twenty bucks less. Even with the cost of shipping it'll still come out about fifteen or so bucks less.
And no additional customs fees at all?
This is one of the best conversions to high definition that has even been undertaken, there are a few minor issues like the grain and the occasional ”hiss” in the audio but overall, non of that matters. After you have seen TNG in HD, you will struggle to sit through a standard broadcast.*
That review does let itself down somewhat with the dumb remark "I did notice a little grain and I’m surprised they didn’t opt to remove it but it’s not a big issue" but it's not a big issue.
Could anyone with the US discs and a surround sound system corroborate this error also exists on their set? If not, I'll be returning mine and ordering from the States. I'd really appreciate a quick reply if anyone's willing.

I think only a couple people have it over here. They seem to be far stricter on folks in the U.S. receiving their copies even a day early.
Some interesting details from Dan Curry http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmPORTph12U

That and the "Farpoint" screenshot isn't from the episode.![]()
Just watched 'Datalore' and the Crystalline Entity looks absolutely stunning!
