Definitely, for many a physical disability creates a drive of determination that allows them to accomplish things that able bodied people couldn't hope to.

Well, I HAVE spent decades honing my smartassed-ness.

sadly, quite a number of people suffer from a general paralysis of their common sense (a desease rapidly spreading, especially among politicians)
Compared to them, cerebral paralysis would propably count as rather good health.

My skills are numerous:

Unholy Inception - the ability to implant horrific mental images of varying severity and perversity into the minds of several people at once.

Punning Linguist - my oldest skill, the ability to locate and bring to the fore inappropriate and terrible puns in any context.

Unnamed Skill #34 - the ability to turn anything seen or said into sexual innuendo.

The Great Pretender - my most powerful skill, the ability to fool people into thinking that I'm going through life extremely well when in fact it couldn't be further from the truth.

Honestly.. you could be one of my co-workers. Decent enough guy but this sometimes truly gets on my nerves, especially his habit of turning every remark into some kind of sexual reference ( i don't mind gay jokes on my behalf but i'm slowly getting fed up with it and thinking of telling him to cut it out).

Then I must be in great health because I'm not completely paralized. I DO use a wheelchair, but only for when walking makes me tired, which is alot.

No, I'd have to say my smart mouth is my "special skill". God knows it's gotten me into enough trouble.

I have an inferiority complex, but it's not a very good one.

I can quieten crying babies (very handy for infant baptisms). And actually, if I'm so minded, I can do the 'project your personality into the church before you reach the pulpit' thing, if I ever want to. Which usually I don't. Oh, and I can flirt like it was an o*****c sport (Edited for brand protection).

I have the awsome ability to time travel into the future, simply by being conscious for 60 seconds will see me propelled 1 minute into the future.......the longer i am conscious, the further i will travel forward in time.

It's a gift i dare not abuse....although i have become so adpet at it that even when i'm asleep my power is active, and i can find myself waking up, and have traveled 7/8 hours into the future while asleep.

It's a gift and a curse.

On a more serious note, I also have perfect pitch. As well as being able to identify a played musical note, I have been known to be able to recreate specific notes and pitches from memory. It's something I discovered while learning to play the piano when I was a young child.

I'm very good at naming that tune in 3 notes, especially songs from the 80s. I'm also very good at remembering what year the song was in the charts. It's a totally useless gift, but at least I have one. I'm also good at finding things that other people have lost, but damned if I can find my own stuff.

I was born in Montreal and graduated from high school in Toronto, but I reckon the UK chart is much more applicable to me than the US one. The day I was born Fire by Crazy World of Arthur Brown was number 1 in the UK, and during my last week of high school the UK number was was The Firm's Star Trekkin.

The trouble with that is I didn't move to the UK 'til 1995, and songs in the 80s weren't always in the charts in Canada the same year as the UK. I'll never make my fortune with my quirk, but it's a neat party trick.
