The sad thing is, Cliff Richard used to be cool. Then he went all "Wired For Sound" and the rest is history. By the time he did "Millennium Prayer," he was far beyond redemption.

Is my knowledge of Cliff Richard sounding any alarm bells yet? Maybe that counts as a special skill I have, that plus my incredible ability to bring internet discussion threads back on topic.

Apparently "Rock Your Baby" by George McCrae was #1 when I was born, which I don't think I've ever even heard this song before.

Alternately, I've heard some say that the #1 song when they turned 18 is their life's theme song or something. This one I like much better: "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix-a-Lot!

What special (G or R rated) physical and/or mental gifts do you currently possess ?

My 'superpower' is totally PG 13: all animals trust me.
I can catch wasps and snakes without getting stung or bitten, get along with every dog, sneak up to any deer or rabbit, butterflies and dragonflies aren't afraid to sit on my hand and I usually can get within 1 yard of any wild bird without disturbing it.

Andrew Robinson (aka Garak) once mentioned at a convention that some people can expand their personality so much that it literally enters the stage before they do (Kate Mulgrew did that rather impressively at the 2003 con in London). I think what I'm doing is basiclly the opposite. I'm pulling myself in so much that the animals overlook me completely.

I didn't mean to sound mopey. I think I have plenty of good (and bad) traits. I just don't think there's anything that stands out as a particular gift. I'm decent at a bunch of things, but not really outstanding at anything.

If there's something I've learned in the past 2 years, it's that people have varying levels of skill in many areas, some better than others, but there is most likely at least one area of expertise that they and they alone are the best at, maybe even better than anyone else in the whole world. The trouble most people have is in finding what that gift is, but it is there somewhere.

The #1 song when I was born was The Most Beautiful Girl by Charlie Rich, so I'm not exactly sure what that says about me, other than I'm glad the circumcision went off without a hitch.

The #1 song when I turned 18 was Black or White by Michael Jackson, which makes perfect sense as my theme and ties into the thread topic since one of my special gifts is being able to be either black or white at will.
