Reminds me a lot of Smith Mountain Lake here in Virginia. Early in the morning. That place is beyond gorgeous after the sun rises and then starts to set.

Thanks guys.

I took the photos at our cottage in Quebec. I got up at sunrise to take them which is pretty impressive for me because I like my sleep. It is even more impressive that I got up that morning because I definitely had had a little too much beer the night before.

I like that one a lot.

I just started trying to get a handle on HDR photograph. I took these two shots about 4 years ago at the crack of dawn.

Wow that's amazing. :D Any chance you could post a bigger version of the first shot? I'd love to use it as a wallpaper.

You don't look relaxed, but if you say so...

We had the highest temperature record so far this year a few days ago. This was taken on June 22, in Iasi, Romania.

My brother graduated from our equivalent of High School nearly two weeks ago, and now I've finally got some pics. First off, the family (except mom, who took the pic):

Our dog Zilwer, not approving of all the noise and commotion at the school:

Bro and my oldest sister.

And me looking the most dapper I did that day:

Can't tell in the first pic, but those are pinstripe pants.

Yeah he really is :D And a hopeless glutton  That expression is his "I don't like this, can we go now?"-look. He was much happier once we got in the car.

Those look seriously ominous.

Strange, I think they look perfectly tranquil.

If it wasn't for the rising fog, it would look perfectly tranquil. The fog gives it a very ominous vibe. At least to me.

Also, I may have seen too many horror movies set at lakes.

 @ the 'horror movie scenario' -and I am even old enough to remember the (first?) Friday the 13th-film where the (false) ending is on a lake not entirely unlike that (iirc)...

But to me, the sheer solitude and nature taking 'a breather' before the coming day really gathers speed is like the moment between sleeping and being fully awake. Maybe I've just got more (especially: childhood) memories of places and situations like that than you?

I found some old photos of me from when I was in the Air Force.

Looks like I'm reading a magazine in a tent. I'm an Airman here, so must have been first deployment.
