Did anyone here ever caught the movie. If you haven't, may i suggest you watch it when you are free. Damn good movie.

Maybe you folks can mention other underrated movies in this thread?

Blink.

Mute Witness.

Frequency.

The Beast Must Die (okay, that's more of a guilty pleasure, but . . .)

SexDrive from about 5 or so years back.
Terminator Salvation
Salt

I rewatched the Lundgren Punisher about 4 months ago and actually like it better as a whole film than the Thomas Jane one. Slap a skull on Lundgren and it's even better.

Frequency.

Second that.

In regards to underrated movies, I'd recommend "Malice" with Nicole Kidman and Alec Baldwin. It's a nice, twisty, little noir film about a schoolteacher and an egomanical doctor (Baldwin's character pronounces "You think I have a god complex? I AM god") who's accused of botching an operation on her.

GODZILLA (1998)

Unfairly ripped by film critics expecting Shakespeare and Godzilla purists expecting a carbon copy of the first Godzilla film, down to the guy in the suit. A funny, action-packed movie with a unique monster and great characters.

A few movies from director John Dahl:

Mr. and Mrs. Smith

That movie is actually damn fun. The car chase in the minivan, and the conversation that takes place during it are just hilarious and worth the price of admission.

For me personally when ever someone mentions Underrated Movie, my goto always is Thirteenth Warrior. Yes, it was somewhat of a bomb, with reshoots and the Director getting fired. However it has some really good action, the humor is well done without being over the top. Antonio Banderas actually gives one of his better performances and how can you go wrong with Vikings going on a quest.

its a great film. one that is often quoted among my friends and i. :bolian:

Have found several on NetFlix:

"Ironclad" (with James Purefoy & Paul Giamatti): a knights and swords story of what happened after King John signed the Magna Carta.

"Black Death" (with Sean Bean): a Dark Ages story of a knight tasked with finding out why a small village has been passed over by the Plague.

"Tucker & Dale vs Evil" (with Alan Tudky from Firefly): a send-up of By-The-Lake horror films where anything that can go wrong, does.

"Let It Ride" (with Richard Dreyfuss): a poor shmoe has one REALLY good day at the track.

Liked all of these, especially "Let It Ride". It's on my top ten list of favorite movies.

Live Long.

T'Pan

Orphans. Wonderful and powerful performances by Albert Finney, Matthew Modine and Kevin Anderson.

It is the movie that Modine is most proud of making. He is very disappointed that it did poorly at the box office which he put down to poor marketing, no-one knew what target group to aim the movie at.

The return of Captain Invincible.

Its got so many win but best of all....Its got Christopher Lee hamming it up as the villian, and he also sings.......talk about a win.

Stir of Echoes, which had the bad luck to open a few weeks after similiarly-themed The Sixth Sense.
