If they actually do kill off Batman/bruce in this I'm going to be ROYALLY pissed.
It's just a no-no.If they actually do kill off Batman/bruce in this I'm going to be ROYALLY pissed.
Why? Either way, this is the end of this version of the character on screen.
You don't kill James Bond.
You don't kill Batman.
Thats basically it. This isn't an Elseworlds story and it's never been pitched as one. I will be really annoyed if they kill off Batman. It's just a no-no.If they actually do kill off Batman/bruce in this I'm going to be ROYALLY pissed.

He's an immortal character of pop fiction that hasn't died on screen cause he's a symbol of the fight you wish you could fight. To attain the justice you feel at times might be otherwise denied. To kill him would be to say that justice fails. That hope isn't worth having.
Even the on screen Superman Returns death was a fake out.
You don't kill James Bond.
You don't kill Batman.
Also, if certain speculation is to be believed:then it plays perfectly to the theme of Batman being more than a man, but an ideal and a legend.and Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character does indeed take over the cowl at the end
If they do it i'm going to resent it. That's all there is to it.Elseworlds means not within the continuity of the main comic titles. This is not within the continuity of the main comic titles.
Frankly, I'm almost rooting for them to kill off Batman. It would be an incredibly ballsy move, that would be remembered for a long time. The next Batman movie is going to be a reboot anyways. No matter what, Batman will be alive and well and played by a different actor with a different crew behind it. It will not follow the continuity established in the Nolan trilogy. So, by all means: Kill Bruce Wayne.

Yet another good observation for why not to it.While I have nothing against the idea of killing Batman, but...
I don't think he will simply be "replaced" by another character. They spent the whole first film showing what Bruce had to do to become Batman, wouldn't it diminish that if they can just throw in another character who hasn't done the same and let him take over?
My engine is revving!!
