I recently went back to IL to visit family and friends and I felt strangely older. I haven't even been gone a full year but I felt quite different. I think it's largely because of a forced independence, but I've also gradually been growing more and more aware of the people around me aging. My sis hit 30 this past year, I'm approaching it myself, and while I know many people who dislike that it really doesn't bother me too much.
I consider myself a pretty insecure person overall but I was recently struck by how much self-confidence I've gained with age. I'm very different in that regard compared to five or ten years ago. I'm looking forward to my 30s and 40s, and I'm sure I'll have more to look forward to but I don't want to look too far ahead!
So tell me what's awesome about being your age? It doesn't have to be specific to your age, but maybe something about where you are in life now, where you've been, etc. And this isn't just for older people or younger people, it's for everyone!
What are you enjoying about your current stage in life? What do you look forward to?
