I'm curious to see if the movie plays out like the trailers indicate regarding Gothamites. My impression is that Bane manages to get a riot started regarding "x". He manages to prove what the Joker essentially was trying to but in TDK Batman's victory is that they didn't turn chaotic(blow up the other boat). Yet, now they are rioting in the street with Bane. I think Joker's choice of words was something to affect of "just give 'em a little push".
I'm having trouble reconciling that until I see the movie. It's a narrative shift regarding how the people of Gotham themselves are in this world.
