Zion's would be my favorite of all the ones that didn't make the Current Top 25, followed by Crusher Disciple. That damn bunny is always so cute I have to restrain myself from squealing when I see it pop up.

Oh, it's pretty much the same with me. I just copy from my Photobucket account. My avatar making skills are pretty mediocre...I've tried, believe me. A blind parrot with a paint brush in its beak could do a better job of creating something good looking.

I can't believe I forgot Temis. Those various Vortas are fantastic; I've no clue how she does it. Then again, I'm another one with no skills in avatar creation. Mine are thrown together in paint.

If we ever start a thread on most controversial avatars of all time then ol' CleverWombat would be in the running for at least one of the prizes in that category. In the middle of trying to remember the really great, commendable avatars from the last ten years my mind keeps getting drawn back to some of the controversial ones, and not necessarily because the images themselves were bad or even borderline offensive per se...but at times because they were used under false pretense. Wombat's marsupial with the headband and ninja weapons was a picture he claimed he made himself and then it turned out it was a photo available on the web that he simply appropriated and decided to pass off as his own brainchild. The guy claimed it was his original creation, which caused a little bit of a verbal shitstorm if I remember correctly.
That's happened a couple of times over the years. Not. Cool. Avatars should be lots of fun to post and use and it shouldn't matter if you got the image someplace else. If it isn't already obvious, just come out and say "I found this online and thought it was the bee's knees"...don't lie and say you created the image from scratch and that it was your personal baby, because this is the Google Age. It isn't too hard to find out that you've been lying.

I love seeing the avs of ZR, Shameless, and Locutus. I also like trekkiedane's, and Flukie has come up with some real winners, as well. A certain groovy LOST avatar comes to mind... .

For a while a few years back my sweet, sweet and deranged Shameless used to have my favorite avatar on the boards. His "communist Kool-Aid guy" as well as the KA Guy smashing through the wall provided endless chuckles and were always a welcome sight when I logged on. His current Christmas-themed Khan Singh is really nice and was terrific as hell four months ago, but he needs to update it to something else if he has the time or desire. I think he's the last member who never switched back after the Holidays.
