PICTURE POST!

I saw this today, not sure why but I really liked it, and had just enough time to take a picture as the light turned green (sorry about the quality, it's a camera phone):

That's adorable! That 1985 Cabbage Patch Kid might be worth something, though I don't know if you'd ever consider looking into its value or anything...it might hold tremendous sentimental value to you. But there aren't nearly as many of the original Cabbage Patch dolls floating around as some might think...especially not in what appears to be quite good condition. That hat is really cute, too! I like the eyes on it. :)

I have one of those... bought it at a convention around 1986 or 87. It has pointy ears and a blue Starfleet uniform.

I'm not making that up. At this convention I was at, someone had modified a bunch of Cabbage Patch dolls to make Cabbage Patch Vulcans, and I couldn't resist.

If I ever get a decent camera, I'll take a picture and post it.

That would be priceless. I'm sure a whole lot of us would die to see a Starfleet Patch Kid!

I added some blue into my hair along with the pink, and now... my new nickname in my household is "my little pony".

"Well hello there, my little pony!"

:ouch:

I knew some of you would appreciate that.

Neigh.

Grainy photo, but I can see where you were going with the new coloring...not bad. Quite cute! :)

Yep, I posted it on Facebook too and was told to take more. My webcam is a piece of crap.

LOL'ing at the video.

When I was a kid, whenever someone teased my father about his bald spot, his response was, "Grass doesn't grow on a busy street." :)

Lumi, I love your stripes.

And here we go, a picture of me in April 2010, taken by the woman who created the necklace I had just bought.

Nice pic, Ziyal. That's one of the more impressive necklaces I've seen in a good while. I can only imagine all the time and detail that goes into jewelry like that and I myself just would never have the focus or patience for something like that. That thing is beautiful.

Yeah, that's a great pic, Ziyal, and Lumi, you're rockin' those pink and blue stripes. :techman:

As I mentioned earlier, I volunteered for the Toronto Comic Con this past weekend. I didn't get a lot of pics, but I did manage to coerce a couple of the guests into posing for a photo. :D

Here's the lovely Amy Acker from Angel:

I only got to speak with her for a minute, but she seemed very sweet. Got her to autograph my Angel DVD set as well.

I also got the opportunity to chat with Lance Guest and Catherine Mary Stewart (the stars of The Last Starfighter), which was pretty cool. They were both friendly, interesting folks. Here's a pic of me with Stewart:

All in all, it was a pretty good weekend. I may volunteer again next year.
