Keiko I agree is a detractor. Jadzia was neutral until she went all Klingon, and then she was annoying. But Ezri I liked; I just wished we'd had her around longer to really develop her as a character.
As for Voyager, it absolutely needed to add the visual appeal of Seven, because Voyager had nothing else going for it.
I've always liked Keiko, I don't know why people have such a problem with her. Especially considering how little we saw her compared to some of the other recurring characters. I enjoyed how she was so encouraging of Miles and Julian's relationship.I thought Keiko refreshingly realistic. Enough with the evolving past bitchiness.
Obviously, as a doctor fanatic, I can't quite agree with either of you. After she joined, 7 ranked third behind the doc and Janeway, and was always overshadowed by both of them. She at least replaced another chracter, Kes, who laid waste to every episode in which she had more than a cameo apperance. 7 was a useful addition. As for Voyager, it absolutely needed to add the visual appeal of Seven, because Voyager had nothing else going for it.
Obviously, as a Janeway fanatic, I have a problem with this statement.![]()
And according to a youtube video I saw in the TNG forum, Worf actually had a secret crush on Riker, so maybe they should have brought Frakes in and let Worf finally have a long-term relationship.![]()
I'm grossed out by anyone with Riker.
Do some people really have a problem with Keiko? Why? She has to be one of the most harmless/inoffensive characters in Trek. And like someone said she hardly ever appears.

His personality. His horrible barking on the bridge, his leering expression, his in your face aggressiveness. His smugness. I really, really, really dislike him. And I pretty much love everyone on every Trek.
