The TrekMovie article about this says only "Southern California". There's nothing I can see in the pictures which would cause me to think it's anywhere else, but I don't recognize anything distinctive enough that I could place it more exactly than "Greater Los Angeles area".

It's definitely not the Dodger Stadium parking lot, though.

Anything which might theoretically have been tweeted would almost certainly have been snagged by one of several Twitter aggregators, no matter how quickly it was deleted afterwards.

Since the villain is very likely to be already known or at least mentioned in the most popular speculations, I fail to see how someone seeing a tweet can cause an information leak. If they have no proof that they saw it they would be as good as someone who is pretending. There's a limited number of options, you can simply pick one and claim to have seen the tweet, or you could inject it yourself if you're running a Twitter aggregator.

That said, I happened to be looking at his Twitter at exactly that moment and it said that the villain is Charlie.
