Pictures leaked!!!

Well, the smooth foreheads are canon... :shifty:

Um , no they are not. Wish they were though I thought the Next Genie Kligon makeup looked B movie aweful
Klingons, in TOS, did not have ridges. It was explained in ENT, that a large part of the population was infected, by their own people, with an augment virus which caused the victims to take on human traits. So, there are Klingons with and without smooth foreheads, and yes, that is canon.

I never thought that explanation was necessary.

Of course it wasn't necessary. But I thought it was kind of clever. Besides, DS9 opened the can of worms first by acknowledging the problem.

I think it would have been funnier in "Trials and Tribble-ations" if they'd just put Michael Dorn in the TOS Klingon makeup and not have had anyone find it strange. :D

They should have had another ancestor of Worf, on ENT sans make-up, infected by the virus. He'd already directed an (admittedly unspectacular) episode earlier in the run. Presumably something he bargained into his contract when returning to do Star Trek Nemesis.

But yeah, an even earlier relative than The Undiscovered Country's Colonel Worf... whose ridges were a kind of a half way stage to his TNG/DS9 make-up. Klingon genes reasserting more control over the Augment ones, with each passing generation.

They were obviously kind enough to provide Khan with a change of clothes after they recovered his ship. But what does he do? He steals Spock's favorite disco jacket (note Spock's anger) and crashes on some stinky jungle planet.

Still, it's nice to see they won't be standing around discussing chronoton particles and gravimetric phase emitters in this one, either. I smell another blockbuster.

Oooh!!

He's wearing a black starfleet uniform under his jacket like Kirk had in the first film! Rogue starfleet officer?

And the MTV story says that they're fighting on a "space barge."

Exciting!
The much-awaited Gary Mitchell of rabid, hardcore Trekkies?! It may explain the cadet Kirk style black shirt under his jacket...

Maybe he is Gary Mitchell who is secretly working for Peter Wellers character and maybe Peter Weller is the head of Section 31 who's secretly trying to initiate a Starfleet shakeup by assassinating Admiral Pike. Kinda like how the CIA meddled with Vietnams government.

It looks like these uniforms lack the insigna pattern woven into the fabric of the ST09 uniforms. Uhura's uniform looks solid red and Spock's solid blue (to me, anyway).

Hmmm, I wonder if Cumberbatch's character could be Finnegan (who is perhaps the son of an augment)? But I would prefer Tracey.

How can you tell that from distant, low-res pics? I'd be willing to bet the uniforms are nearly (if not completely) identical to last time.

I actually agree. And, I liked the pattern in the ST09 uniforms. That's why looked at the pictures quite a few times before believing they are solid-colored. The lighting in the pictures given in the link by Shilliam Watner is quite good, especially for Uhura. Her uniform and the uniform of Quinto's stand in (if that's who it is) in the other picture look as if they are one color with no patterns in the fabric. I can't imagine the pattern or colors are washed out because the pictures just aren't that bad.
It's a "just sayin'" observation. If I'm wrong, so what? If I'm right, I'll gloat for a week. ;)

I have a gut feeling that the story just might be a reworked variation of Were No Man Has Gone Before, and Benedict Cumberbatch is the new Gary Mitchell.

This picture appears that Uhura could be shooting him with a phaser at it's full setting (his reaction looks to be more than a "stun" setting)
