The Balock puppet freaked me out as a kid and I couldn't even watch the end credits because they ended with that ca-reepy ass thing, but nowadays, Clint Howard strikes me as far creepier.

Oooh!!
He's wearing a black starfleet uniform under his jacket like Kirk had in the first film! Rogue starfleet officer?
And the MTV story says that they're fighting on a "space barge."
I would suspect a crashed space barge. Cumberbatch maybe a imposter dressed in a starfleet standard uniform undershirt. I am still trying to see if he has pointed ears and it looks as though he is resisting Spocks neck pinch which might leave me to think he is either a Augment or Vulcan renegade or the Romulan officer Decius (if his ears are indeed pointed).Oooh!!

Well, the smooth foreheads are canon...^ But he doesn't look Klingon in those pics, unless they're returning to the smooth-forehead look.![]()
I don't think he is playing Ron Tracey.Ugh. More Nightmares. Here is your wish for Baby Balok all grown up, I hope you relish this, as much as I.

Hmmm. Again, there's that other thread (which admittedly has no evidence whatsoever backing it up) that claims Cumberbatch is playing Captain Tracey.
I'm pretty sure he is. He's wearing the same type of costume as the guy standing behind him and Quinto, and on that guy's shirt you can clearly see the Starfleet delta on the chest. And in the first pic with Cumberbatch and Quinto, you can see the delta on his own shirt, too.More pictures. Does Cumberbach appear to be wearing a black Starfleet shirt similar to the one Pine wore in ST09?
Klingons, in TOS, did not have ridges. It was explained in ENT, that a large part of the population was infected, by their own people, with an augment virus which caused the victims to take on human traits. So, there are Klingons with and without smooth foreheads, and yes, that is canon.Well, the smooth foreheads are canon...^ But he doesn't look Klingon in those pics, unless they're returning to the smooth-forehead look.![]()
Um , no they are not. Wish they were though I thought the Next Genie Kligon makeup looked B movie aweful
