Your latest purchases, cont.

^ I have a similar problem: the front of the house is on a relatively busy street, so that and being on the second floor pretty much guarantee that nobody will try to get in from there, but in the back we face a private garden which wall is a joke to jump over, hence the need for a bit more security. In any case, these locks come very highly recommended and are apparently the best on the market. Here's to hoping they will never be put to the test!

^You wouldn't happen to have an image or something i could google?

I'm currently using this:

-Which is good enough to keep a cat in and most people out but useless against the professional housebreaker

Well, I have sash windows, so you wouldn't be able to use them on yours at all. I don't have a picture I'm afraid, but this is the link to the product on a specialist site. Window Bolts

WIN---ter? I've heard of that. What's it like?

Cool shoes, btw. But I don't think I'd like to deal with all the laces. Yes, I'm THAT lazy.

Just entered the modern phone world by getting one of those touch the screen type mobile phones.....and i will admit its a lot eaiser to send a text message with that onscreen keyboard than it was with my old press the button type one.

Very modern indeed....now to get rid of my VHS movie collection. LOL

Picked up this awesome sweater duster from Coldwater Creek's outlet. It was only $24, not including shipping & tax. I have a sweater duster in black and I LOVE it, but it's taken a beating over the last year or two. This brown one should do very nicely!

I just spent $269 on some Circulon Contempo cookware. It consists of

  • 1 x 16cm/1.9L Covered saucepan (includes glass lid)
  • 1 x 18cm/2.8L Covered saucepan (includes glass lid)
  • 1 x 24cm/5.7L Covered stock pot (includes glass lid)
  • 1 x 24cm/2.8L Covered sauté pan (includes glass lid)
  • 1 x 20cm French skillet
  • 1 x 24cm French skillet
I hope these are as good as all the reviews I read.

^My mom has dozens of Circulon pans and hubby and I LOVE using them whenever we visit. They are AWESOME to cook with.

These were labeled for destruction due to some stupid recycling agreement. A box of them (~20pcs) were misplaced during transport. :D They're about a year old. Some of them were even NOS.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in Spanish. :)

I took the Russian version out of the library, but I quickly figured out that I need my own copy so I can write notes in it, and the Spanish version is much cheaper, so I'm starting there.
