Pandorum last night

sojourner

Admiral
In Memoriam
Watched the movie last night on SyFy. It wasn't bad and kept my attention.

There was just one little plot hole. Dennis Quad's character is from the original flight crew right? So why didn't Bower notice this from his tattoo? He did help him exit cryosleep after all. It stretches credibility that he wouldn't have seen his arm.

I'd have to watch it again. I know we get scenes of them looking at their own tattoos, and some others show their tattoos to show they are legit. Did the flight crew guys ever compare Tats? They had to roll up sleeves to see them.

^You come out of cryosleep with just underwear.
As I said, I'd have to watch it again, I can do the first 10 minutes when I get home.

But, when they come out, they are disoriented. They look at their own tats because they don't remember anything, not even who they are. At the moment Quaid comes out, they talk and comfort, but I don't recall they comparing Tats.

A guy falls out of a tube with a name on it, like you came out of a tube with your name on it, sick and disoriented, like you, I think you aren't comparing IDs, just trying to deal with the new, sick, confused guy on the floor.

They looked at their own tats to help themselves remember. We'll see if they looked at each others.

I'll bet we don't get a scene where Quaids tat is shown until much later in the move (when, IIRC he merges during the fight).

ETA: We might get a scene where Quaid looks at his own tat and reports what he sees to the other guy. Obviously, such a report would be a delusional lie.

Official word: No plot hole.

Bower(?) looks at and shows his tat 2-3 times while he and Quaid are together. Quaid never displays his tat to Bower(?), and we don't see it until he fights the Lt later.

When they Bower came out of hypersleep, Bower had on a thin film covering him, including his arms, that had be ripped through to see his tat. Remember Bower also ripped what amounted to IV tubes out of his arm. Quaid, on the other hand, just had on shorts, and no IV tubes. This is explained later in the movie.

Quaids character never (until Bower leaves the room thru the duct) shows Bower his Tat. When he first comes out of "Hypersleep", he is on his knees, supported by his arms, and appers to position his arm so the tat is not casually visible.

When Bower mentioned he was in the 5th flight crew, he displayed his tat quickly. Quaid never used his tat to confirm anything, never allowed Bower to see it.
