What if Sevenand Kim had a baby?

I had a story concept about this once. A child arrives through a spatial rift claiming to be Seven and Kim's baby from the future. It was a "Seven learns the value of maternal love" episode but I guess Drone already got that covered huh.

Why use Ensign Mulcahey if they never planed on using that "character" in the rest of the episode, or the rest of the series.

"You raped me!"

"No, I am you"

The blue screening would have been hilarious.

Kim or Paris could so easily have been the "fathers" and the muddied waters would have made for some interesting storytelling.

BTW...

This is the depth of Garret's imagination?

I wonder how much Garret earned throughout the 7 years of Voyager, I think its pretty obvious they didnt have a "Friends" style deal where everyone was paid the same.

I assumed due to Seven being assimilated before puberty, she'd be sterile.
Borg don't reproduce sexually, so why allow those organs to develop. That or the nanoprobes would see an embryo as a virus or parasite and kill it.
If she could, the baby would be born Borg due to the nano's that are in Seven's blood.

I am sure there is away around that. The holographic Doctor could find a way if anybody could....But why is Wang asking this NOW? Is this a story he would liked to have seen filmed during the series' heyday? Or is he pulling our chain?

I assumed this as well, but they clearly let her secondary sexual characteristics develop, and they are part of the same process, so maybe the Borg have a philosophy of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' and just kind of ignore those things? Maybe the hormones still run around the body at the appropriate times (they do promote growth and such, so are not 'unuseful'- you don't want all drones to stay the same size they were when they were assimilated!), but because you're enslaved to the collective the effects on your brain are just kind of ignored.

This is actually a conversation I've had with my wife several times- I was operating under the assumption that Seven would probably have had a hysterectomy at one point or another, but I have no idea why I would have thought that.

McCoy could grow a kidney inside an old lady with one pill.

On DS9 they could replace limbs with clone meat.

in one episode Seven says that one on one mating is inefficient.

For a time I thought that meant that the Borg took all her eggs, emptied a few scrotum's and made babies in incubator draws like we saw in TNG... But Seven was obviously referring to assimilation.

If this were the case, her breasts would not have been allowed to develop. Borg don't need them, and their function is to nurture offspring. Yet they allowed them to stay and develop normally.

There's a subgenre of fanfic where Seven is able to have children, although not without extensive monitoring and occasional medical intervention to make sure there isn't any catastrophic problem with the nanoprobes.

I can't see her wanting children with Harry, though...

The Borg wanted to pack a lot of hardwear into that girl.

It would be stupid not to allow her boobies, and madness not to stuff them with something useful that just appears to be a 21st century sack of silicon endofalsie.

And I could see her nanoprobes neutralizing any contraception they might be using.

So... they are weapons?

That is all.

BWAHAHAHAHA..

But I would like to discuss your sig line which is completely on topic because it is also about babies.

"If my ship is whisked to the far side of the galaxy, leaving us with a seventy-year journey home, and a super-being offers to take us home instantly in exchange for having his baby, I'll agree and ask what we can get for two babies. "

Yeah Kathryn, and you didn't even have to have sex with Q or be pregnant to have the baby! Practically no sacrifice required at all! Other than possibly becoming attached to the baby and knowing that you would lose any custody battle that came up.

So, what would she have gotten for two babies.. her dog back?

What if Sevenand Kim had a baby?

:ack: :barf:

I'd rather Seven & Janeway have a baby. :adore: :bolian:
