Star Wars Underground (Live Action Series)

Sure, the whole story could be seen as the saga of the Skywalker clan of Force users. And since restoring Anakin to his old self becomes Luke's true quest in the OT, that supports the importance of the whole family to the saga.

But with two members still alive and kicking at the end of ROTJ, the story is far from over. And if you wanna follow their kids' stories, it could go on even further.
They already have. Beware, this does contain some spoilers for the Legacy comic book series. Temis have you read any of the SW books or comics? Because most of the stuff that you've talked about in this thread and the Clone Wars thread have already been addressed there in some form.

I have some novels and graphic novels sitting on my shelf, waiting for me to get around to reading them. (I've almost forgotten about them, I think I bought them a year ago.) :D

And I agree with the consensus here that time travel seems like some sort of crime against nature when introduced into the Star Wars cosmos. Leave that stuff to Star Trek, which does it so well. hahahaha

In the first place, it opens up all the "so why didn't they do X, Y and Z, and then Sidious would have been defeated before he was born" can of worms. That way lies madness!!!

As I understand it, there's some way that Jedi can see into the past via the Force, and of course get premonitions of the future, although that has proven highly unreliable and maybe they shouldn't do it. ;) That stuff seems okay, just a crystal ball, not an actual time machine.

Yeah, I don't buy the time travel thing. I just don't see them doing something like that in the show.

Time travel in the Star Wars universe - wha, wha, whut? So, the rumor is that the pilot will jump the shark? If they do time travel, I hope the franchise goes down in flames. And I've seen the 1977 movie countless times, yo.

Did anyone other than AICN fall for the time-travel nonsense? It was so obviously someone taking the piss - throwing in the plot from Terminator/ Star Trek 09 and seeing who'd fall for it.

Sounds like the idea of going back in time to stop the Kennedy assassination. How the heck could they do that without getting prequel trilogy characters involved. Don't believe they would use that sci-fi cliche.

Everybody seems to be assuming they would have succeeded in killing Vader, how do we know they wouldn't have failed? I still don't believe the story, but if it is true it doesn't neccissarily mean that they actually killed Vader. It just says they plan on killing Vader, not that they actually do it.

Re: Star Wars Underworld (Live Action Series)

Who is "everybody"? I don't see a single person in this thread who has assumed they would succeed. If this were a real plot for one of the Underworld episodes, then I think it's pretty obvious that the conspirators would fail.

only a select few people who new vader's real idenity. so I don[t see how they could pull that off. though I will watch the show just as I watch the clone wars.

They could do a time travel story where they create their own alternate timeline independent of actual continuity, giving us a what if? story.

you need to read dark horse comics star wars infinities they 4,5, & 6 as what if.

I hate time travel! Star Wars doesn't need to lower itself to that level yet like some other franchises. :p
