Does anyone else get a sick kick out of Muniz's death?

I don't care about Muniz either way. I didn't even know who he was until I read posts in this thread that explained that.

I do think it's lame when show runners try to design characters like Muniz, who have not been seen before, to create all-tragic-like feelings in the audience. That makes me feel annoyed, not tragicified.

IMO to make that ploy work they'd need either a really good actor, or 5 episodes in which the character features prominently, or both.

I don't remember Muniz being in any episodes other than the one where he died.

Muniz was also in one of the early Worf episodes where Worf was riding the guys in engineering like a Klingon crew. Miles asked Worf to tone it down.

Yeah, Starship Down. He might have shown up in a few episodes between those two as well.

I was glad he died though. The female Vorta in that episode was pretty hot. I would tuck her away somewhere and tell the Founders i'd murdered her and they should make a clone.
I totally agree. A shame she never showed up again- she might have been a good competitor for Weyoun's job.

Speaking of hot one-episode characters - does anyone remember the smokin' hot Vulcan that was with the Maquis? I would follow her around for 7 years just to catch her at Pon Farr time. :rommie::hugegrin:

Brown-nosing? Muniz ridiculed O'Brien for being out of shape and callef him out on the Irish schtick. I think you should check your definitions.

I wonder why she never showed up again? I loved Weyoun, but it would have been interesting to see her character continue as well. A love interest for one of the Weyouns perhaps? Much to the disgust of later Weyouns. :)

When Muniz died I just kind of rolled my eyes.

They show up on an away mission with a few main characters and a few side characters. ALL the main characters survive, ALL the side characters die.

When they do this, like they also do in Empak Nor, it's like 'Hey writers, your 4th wall is showing'. It makes the episode seem boring and trite. It works better when they do it like The Galileo Seven, where a few of the throwaway characters also survive, at least then you can pretend the enemies weren't all firing plot-guided lasers.

I get a sick kick out of people resurrecting a two year old thread to answer the question posed with less than 5 words.
