I'm upset now because I can't either.

Broccoli is just upset he couldn't work in an "ignore The Last Stand" joke.![]()
I've heard rumors that Gotham gets nuked at the end, but I'm not sure if I believe that or not.
Well, with Bane talking about ashes when he isn't being completely incomprehensible, how could it not be connected to the Phoenix storyline from The Last Stand?

I'm sorry, but am I the only one who had no problem understanding Bane in the trailer? I didn't even realize it was an issue until I saw stories on this on the internet.
Honestly, Batman's "growl voice" is harder for me to understand.

Nolan says it’s OK if you can’t understand everything Bane says, and that it’s part of the intended effect. I wonder whether that’s after-the-fact rationalization of a discovered problem, or if that was always the understanding. If Bane has important expository dialog that the audience misses, it may be a problem, but if it was written and directed from the get-go with the understanding that Bane’s speech is difficult to understand, then it doesn’t have to be a problem at all.
Clearly, Nolan isn't ignoring The Last Stand. Why would he want to?
Proctor! (and kudos for the reference!)

Everyone wants to be cool.
