My cats always twitch, jerk, blink or won't sit still in the first place when I want to take their pictures. That's why you haven't seen any of mine yet...getting them to hold still long enough to take a few shots is like pulling teeth from the Loch Ness Monster. Now my beagle? She's a diva. She'll sit there and look longingly into the camera lens until she sees the flash and hears the shutter. But those cats are so fidgety and spoiled rotten that I've gotten perhaps two good photos of each in the past couple of years.

My wife got me a Lightsaber for Christmas, this and the Millennium Falcon were my two geeky gifts this year.

Here is the last picture taken with my old camera. I have owned this Canon G9 since it first came out in 2007. It has been my faithful companion for all these years, treating me well. Of course the last picture is of my new camera. The Canon Rebel EOS T3i, nifty little camera and my step up to a DSLR. I can't wait to really get into it and see what it can do.

Here is the first picture with my new camera, of course it is of my son Ian. This was straight out of the box, on auto.

Awesome RETURN OF THE JEDI Luke saber, Tom! I dropped a few strong hints to extended family and one friend in particular that I wanted a light-up saber replica for Christmas but I didn't get one. I think my hints may have been too strong for my own good. If I bought one myself I'd go for the classic ANH Luke saber...the one previously owned by Anakin before his downfall. That is probably my all-time favorite lightsaber from the SW universe.
