It's actually pretty satisfying in a way, as someone who loved the film, to see the way the more unreasonable and frustrated would-be critics flail without having any effect whatever on...anything.

There's the matter of the inevitable crack of "how can you criticize something you haven't even seen?", so in order to be taken seriously in criticizing it, seeing it is something of a requirement.
Fortunately, I had a pass to a press screening, so I didn't have to deal with the dilemma of supporting something I knew was going to be a big steaming pile just so I could credibly point out that it's a big steaming pile.
Someone had to have paid for that pass. Therefore, support by proxy.

Increasingly, nothing at all.
Like in the "Star Trek in Lego" thread, where he posted a whole bunch of links to sci-fi toys that had nothing at all to do with the subject at hand.
Interesting? Almost always.
Relevant? Hardly ever.
