I was wondering if anyone here knows of an online therapist I could talk to. I've been extremely drepressed lately with a loss of a job and way my life is right now and I tried going to my local hospital for help I thought there might be something there and they didn't have anything but they recommended a couple places. I tried going to them but the one place was recommended told me they would only take people who are extremely depressed in thoughts of suicide. When I was there I told them I wasn't that far into the depression yet but they gave me a number to some place that's supposed to do free therapies over the phone, I tried calling but I haven't received a call back. I'm pretty much stuck between a rock and a hard place and I'm trying to get out of it but it's really sad when you can't find the help. I realize people want money for what they do but come on what about us for those lives are in shamble we need help too.

Call your local courthouse and ask to speak with the protective order office, they may be able to provide some info for you since they do deal with people suffering from depression from what they have been through. Also try the YMCA or YWCA.

Well, even if you find a place where you can go to, you still have to wait in line. There are a lot of people who wants to see a psychiatrist or psychologist. There's a long line. When i was unstaple, they sent me to a mental facility called 51/50, but that's only for people who are very sick. So I guess you'll just have to wait until they call you back. And how often you see them depends on how sick you really are. Like me, I'm staple...for now...and I only see him maybe once every 6 months. When I was really sick, I used to see him every week.

So, just hang in there.

I hope it's a red Swingline.

It looks like most places online are for people who are suicidal, more of crisis type things. Are there are health clinics in your area that might offer free counselling? Are you involved in anything like college or church that might have services?

Low cost mental health services are generally run through the county. Look up your counties Department of Mental Health services.

Yes, I believe my friend is seeing the county psychiatrist. Your county should have mental health service. There are some medications that are available over the counter, but you still need a prescription from your doctor. I order my meds online from Canada because the prescription drug that I take is not over the counter. It only cost me $100 dollars to order from Canada, but you still need a prescription.

There are also places where you can see a therapist on a sliding-pay scale. They charge you what you are able to afford. I hope you can get the help you need.
