An epp I would not have missed had it not been made:

Other than the interracial kiss, "Plato's Stepchildren" is just a waste of celluloid ("I'm Tweedle Dum, he's Tweedle Dee"...please!)

I'm going to get murdered for this, but I HATE 'Amok Time.' Just so awkward...it gives me the creeps, seriously. Actually, I find the whole concept of Pon Farr to be awkward and creepy.

I like 'The Apple'! I just rename it as 'Mr Spock's Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day.'

These I like/don't like threads are pretty dusty.

And I realize that, to coin a phrase, "there's no accounting for taste."

Still, one's credulity is strained. If you can't handle "Amok Time", at least don't admit affection for "The Apple" in the same statement. Granted, we all have our guilty pleasures.

But your mental stability is in serious doubt.

My mental stability is in doubt because of which episodes of a TV show I like/don't like? I think that's a bit of a stretch...

And The Children Shall Lead is so, so bad. The Alternative Factor is pretty horrible too.

While it's never been one of my favorites, I don't think Patterns of Force qualifies as a stinker. It's certainly not one of Treks shining moments, but it is not one of the worst moments either.

Many fans find Plato's Stepchildren embarrassing. It had to be embarrassing for the actors too. But I think that part of the point of that scene was to show how people with great power become so arrogant and condescending that they actually find the embarrassment of others entertaining. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. The scene makes the audience uncomfortable. Perhaps it is supposed to. I don't know. Maybe they just got sick of Shatner's ego and decided to take him down a notch.

Well, he didn't fare out too bad. He got to kiss a hot chick in it, didn't he? :techman:

I still think one of the worst ones was Charlie X. Or, The Way To Eden.

In no particular order:

"I, Mudd"
"The Mark Of Gideon"
"The Lights Of Zetar"
"Whom Gods Destroy"
"Wink Of An Eye"
"And The Children Shall Lead"
(this one is the absolute worst.

Hmmm hard to pick but I have two I don't particularly care for-
Tomorrow is Yesterday and Assignment-Earth. I tend to hate episodes that took the crew back into the past.

Those are two great episodes. Two of my favorites.
I'm really suprised "I, Mudd" is coming up so much. I think it's a really strong episode.
