the dying 3-d movie fad.
When did it start to die?
the dying 3-d movie fad.
Ha, I forgot about this thread. This is from a few days ago, but this made my eyes go wide:
Why Ian McKellen turned down Gandalf
All I have to say is thank you, Bob Shaye!
Isn't 35mm film at a 8K resolution though? Or is that 70mm?I actually got a littlewhen they demonstrated the difference between 5k resolution and the 1080p resolution that's currently standard for television. That's crazy!
Actually, film doesn't have a resolution. 5K should look at least as sharp and clear as 35mm film if not moreso, especially when shot at 48 fps.Isn't 35mm film at a 8K resolution though? Or is that 70mm?
They're shooting it in 3D. Lame.
I'm pretty sure they are also going to be offering it in 2D
In the same theatres, which most likely means the employees will mess up the lense settings for the 2d showings. Or the 2d showings will be in the little shoe box sized theatres.
In my post immediately before yours, I just told you when the trailer would come out and where you can find it.is there a trailer up on Imdb?
No, The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrún is not set in Tolkien's Middle-earth. It's a narrative poem he composed based on the legendary Sigurd from Norse mythology.I have a question on one tolkien's books. "The Legend of Siguard and Gudrun", Is this set with in the silmarillion like the children of Hurin?
Awesome. Yet another reason why I can't wait for Tintin. Between The Hobbit trailer, Tintin, Sherlock Holmes 2, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, December is going to be a sweet, sweet month.Elijah Wood believes 'The Hobbit' trailer will debut in front of 'Tintin.'
No surprise there, really. I expected either Tintin, given PJ's producer role, or Sherlock Holmes, since it's a Warner Bros. production. I'm looking forward to it.![]()
Knowing my theatre, they'll only offer it in 3D. That's what they always do with blockbusters.I'm pretty sure they are also going to be offering it in 2D
