No Merlin thread?

Well Morgana does seem to be learning evil from the book of Rita Repulsa. She managed to sneak in a loyal friend who has the complete trust of King Arthur, and all she has him do is mess with his girlfriend? Come on, Morgana, stop getting sidetracked. I'm sure next week she's going to come up with an elaborate plot to make his bath water too cold.

You know, this is probably the biggest weakness of the show -- no good villains. Merlin needs a big bad to go up against that actually comes across as a threat. Where's a Lord Zedd when you need him.

MIghty Morphing Power Rangers?

Wow.

That takes me back.

Want to go back further?

Morganna reminds me of Zelda from Terrahawks.

Y'know if Zelda moisturised.

Maybe they shoulda developed Mordred. After all, according to the "prophecy", Mordred is the one that kills Arthur.

it was a weird Colin light episode.

He didn't talk for the first 15 minutes.

just smirked in the background.

The really weird thing is that Merlin lost and evil won.

And it didn't really matter.

Am I the only person who thinks Gwen's a waste of space? I was actually cheering when she got booted out.

Wow so people didn't like this week's then?

Odd that, I thought it was brilliant. Powerful, sad, a tad unexpected. Interesting that they're rewriting mythology somewhat, if the whole Lancelot/Gwen/Arthur triangle is happening now, then who's to say Mordred will even kill Arthur is this version?

There are already dozens of different versions. Which particular mythology are they rewriting any more than they have been from the start?

I've pretty much said that from the start. There's enough different versions of the myth you can't complain about a new one.

See? His Bobness agrees with me. Every time someone mentions 'changing the mythology' we should have a specially commissioned threadbomb.

It's almost too perfect.

Lets see if this works

Well if that's your attitude I'm off!!

to get a cup of coffee...

Nah I get what you mean about there being no concrete mythology, but most stories, and certainly the more famous versions over the years usually all see Lancelot and Gwen having a fling much later, but no Merlin hasn't been that faithful from the start (and I've never had a huge problem with that).
