1st trailer for "Snow White & The Huntsman"

I want to be impressed, but I've been let down by so many movies over the last few years that it's really hard. I was turned off the second I saw "from the producer of Alice in Wonderland."

Actually if anything, it's Mirror, Mirror that looks like the Alice in Wonderland clone. At least judging from some of the bright and colorful character shots they released.

Yeah I don't really understand the hatred either. She was pretty good in Into the Wild, and I thought did a decent job with the material she was given in the one Twilight movie I saw.

I can only speak for myself...she doesn't appeal to me at all...those movies don't help...I know there was a rumor about her possibly being Lois Lane in 'Man Of Steel' and I prayed it wouldn't happen. If people like her, fine...but some people don't.
I didn't think much of her in the The First Twilight movie (only one I've seen), but, she was awesome in The Runaways as Joan Jett. If she can go from the bland Bella, to Butch Joan Jett, and then do a Good Gorgeous Snow White, that'll show a pretty wide range.

Exactly. Never saw the Twilight films (Not my thing) for that matter haven't seen anything with Kristin Stewart until The Runaways. A lot of people slam Stewart, but after seeing her performance as Joan Jett, I thought, damn, she is a good actress. Once all this Twilight stuff is behind her she will probably have a good long career ahead of her. I for one, look forward to her performance as Snow White. BTW-- I thought the trailer looked pretty good.:techman:

I wasn't really what to make of this before, but this trailer has raised my interest level quite a bit. I will definitely be watching out for more news on this.

That actually looks...really great. Tarsem is an extremely talented visualist, and it seems like he's finally found a blend of substance and a budget than can match his stylistic eye and flair for visual storytelling.

Except this is not a Tarsem film. :) His film is called "Mirror, Mirror", and will come out around the same time: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1667353/

This film, "Snow White & The Huntsman" ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1735898/ ) - is directed by Rupert Sanders, apparently a first time feature director.

Damn it...what an embarrassing mix-up.

That image of the mirror coming alive screams Tarsem, to me.

Oh, well. Oops.

I think that was probably my favorite part of the trailer, and it's certainly one of the more unique takes on the magic mirror I've come across.

I'm really surprised at how much I dug the visuals of this trailer. Looks really cool!

The same goes for the images that have been released of Tarsem's Snow White version so far, which looks very different, but also pretty stylish and interesting.

We'll have to see if either of them has anything to offer besides the cool visuals, which I still doubt...

Yeah the Queen sucking the life out of that one guy was creepy as hell-- even more so with there not being a cheesy visual effect over it.

Hopefully they don't go back in and change that later.

"Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who's the fairest one of all - me or Kristen Stewart?"
"Uh, you. How is that even a question?"

Stewart's not bad-looking by any means, but I'm far from convinced that she poses a serious threat to Charlize Theron in the looks department.

Ha ha, yeah I've been seeing that comment a lot. Stewart certainly has a cute, girl next door look to her, but she's no Charlize Theron.

Apparently the mirror in this movie is using some different criteria than we're used to. lol

Umm... I'm rooting for the wicked Queen for some completely unrelated reason to the fact that it's Charlize Theron and she looks incredibly hot. :shifty:

Totally different reason.
Unrelated.
Totally unrelated.
Not a single relation.
Not one.
None.
Nada.
Zip.
Zilch.
Nyet.

Charlize Theron is very hot.

I'll probably watch this. At least at the $1 theater. I'll check the reviews first, though. Trailers can be deceiving.

Visually it looks gorgeous and incredibly atmospheric, but story looks absolutely rubbish. And then there's Kirsten Stewart. Ugh.

Edit: Looking at the cast list, I must say I'm intrigued by who's playing the dwarves: Ian McShane, Eddie Izzard, Bob Hoskins, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan, Stephen Graham, Ray Winstone, and Nick Frost. That list and the visuals might make me check this out. Charlize Theron helps, too.

They're going with the typical fairytale "fairest" meaning like pure of heart and wholesome and shit, cause Charlize Theron is so insanely hot, there ain't no one in the kingdom coming close, let alone Princess Valium.

And the Mirror acknowledged this. He said the Queen was the shit, but this Snow White chick had potential to surpass her (she's leading a rebellion against her rule). Eat her heart and (I presume) never have to waste time trying to stay young again bathing in milk and sucking the life out of peasant girls - you'll be immortal.

Something tells me the Mirror is being an asshole and playing off of the Queen's obvious self-esteem issues to mix shit up. What else is he going to do hanging on the wall all day getting asked the same shit over and over again?

"Yes, you're flawless."

"You're amazing."

"No one can compare to how supernova hot you are."

"You're totally the fairest...except for this one chick living in the woods. She's kinda sorta OK in a certain light and people seem to think she's all that. Try, I don't know...shit, eating her heart, yeah! Her heart is the key to immortality!"

This looks so much better than the still shots from Mirror, Mirror and Julia Roberts should just sit the fuck down. Charlize already won the Evil Queen contest.

I just looked at some pics for Mirror, Mirror, and I like the look of SW&H alot more.

I saw the trailer and have to admit that this impressed me more than I expected. I don't like Kristen Stewart either but I am a Charlize Theron fan and Chris Hemsworth is in this as well and the cast for the Dwarfs is pretty epic.

^ I hadn't heard about who was playing the Dwarves. That group right there is enough of a reason for me to see this.

^ I wonder if they'll do the same thing for the Dwarves as LOTR did.

I've never seen any of the Twilight movies, so I have no strong feelings for Kristen either way.

I think I'll see this movie based on the trailer alone. I loved 3 Musketeers for it's OTT grand epic adventure feel and this one has a similar feel to me.

The title of this movie makes me wish Orsen Welles had narrated that trailer.

"Snow White, the tracker. And her huntsmen, the Sweeps. The Evil Queen, and her armada."
;)
