What other actors were considered to play Picard?

I often wonder what Patrick Bachau would have brought to the role. Would Bachau's Picard drink Earl Grey Tea hot or read Shakespeare?

Doubt it. Probably have different music taste too. I think he might have been a bit less prim as well
