when I saw this painting, I couldn't help myself not making a pics like this one to my friend:

:guffaw: Funny.

Not really a picture as much as it is a logo...but it's my business venture and I think I did pretty well considering that I don't know much about the visual side of advertising.

Thoughts?

I knew what it was immediately (although I can see the other "suggestions" as well), and I imagine people in the DC area wouldn't have any trouble either. My only problem is the plain rectangle in place of the statue silhouette on top of the dome. I know you probably don't want to get too detailed, but I think it needs more than this.

I'm actually really bothered my how terrible my posture is in that photo. I never looked like that when I bartended!

Thanks, Timby. The reason I had the color temperature down was because of the yellowing that appears from the damage done to it. I guess there's no way around that.
I made an attempt:

The HSV is still off, but I managed to do something to equalize the skin tones somewhat.
I won't lie.... I'm not digging the way that the eyes "pop" on some of the people, especially the two in the lower left. It kinda freaks me out.

I'm pretty sure I balled my eyes out the first day of school. My mom had to drag me into the classroom.

I remember my first day of Kindergarten. We got there, I said "bye, Mom" and walked inside. She cried.
