PICTURE POST!

{ Emila } and Dimesdan, I enjoyed both your contributions very much! The black and white photography and the fancy dress were both really cool. I'm sorry I didn't say so at the time. If they gave me some enjoyment, I guess I should have fed the posters. :)

However, the fact you were buried is no reason to blame boco, that is the fault of posters and lurkers like me who did not respond as much as you would have liked, not hers

Eh, I actually can't complain. I wasn't ignored. Like I said my "lost in a sea of Bocos"-comment was more tongue-in-cheek. ;)
I just replied to Dimesdan who was actually ignored.
If you want a similar response, then you'll have to put in the proper work and post a couple of dozen a day. Good luck.

You probably didn't mean it that way, but it can come across a bit harsh from the perspective of a lone newbie.

Well, many things are great in moderation. :)

942? I'm terrible when it comes to Porsches, but I can at least see it's not a 911.

Porsche 944. the 924 did not have the fender flares. Surprising lack of scrapes based on the reputation Italian traffic has.

I know I'm a few pages and a few days late on the gun pic action, but I still wanna get my foot in THAT proverbial door.

And this is just a mass of confusion...

This is sorta like "real" me...

And this is sorta like... well, "old" (young??) me...

Chaos, your Navy picture looks just like my best friend from high school. I mean spitting image. Now, if you drove a 1988 Monte Carlo and believed that you were born from your mother's pancreas, THAT would be eerie.

Meeting Ron Jones at the CD signing for "The Ron Jones Project" in October, 2010.

Now that is just damned cool!

Wow! Well, I did used to drive an eighty....

... seven.. uhhh... Trans-Am.

Eh, not close :D

Although, I could very well have come from my mother's pancreas.... she was a rather ODD lady!

digits! No way! One of my mom's closest friends grew up there too, so I'm always hearing about how great Glendale is. Can't say that I've found much reason to disagree, either!

^ You look very comfortable with one another in that last photo - lots of body language mirroring going on. :)

I'd like to join the chorus and say how impressive those photos are, An Officer.

Thanks for the kind words.

LA is definitely one of my dream destinations! Always curious to see candid shots, so thanks for providing so many, really gives you a feel of the place!

You get to hang out on the beach as part of your job? Cool!

If you ever end up out here, be sure to let me know. I'd love to on a photography expedition with a fellow camera enthusiast!

As for working at the beach, yeah once in a while I get to. These days I tend to be in offices most of the time.

The Alex Theater, Glendale, CA, March 2011. I believe Star Trek: The Motion Picture premiered here. I could be wrong.

I'm almost positive The Motion Picture had its worldwide premiere at the Uptown in Washington, D.C.

I need to check with my roommate. He's a veritable expert on all things TMP related, and according to him a premiere for TMP occurred at the Alex. I probably should have been more concise in my initial posting about that.

EDIT: Just talked to him. I misspoke. The Alex is one of the theaters here where TMP originally opened, not premiered. Though I've many fond memories of seeing things at the Uptown, in particular the Star Wars Special Editions in the late '90s. Definitely worth a visit if you're ever in town!

Yes way! Just up Ocean View from Foothill Blvd. I went to St. Francis High School, right on the border between La Canada and Pasadena.

In high school, Brand and Central were the places to go. There's another theater on Central, but I can't remember the name of it now.

My grandpa still lives in Glendale.

Ah, mixed up the letters there. Well, as said, not a big Porsche guy. American cars are more my thing.

You like inferior technology and design?

*hides*

There is nothing better than German engineering. I really dont see what all the fuss with america cars is about. Id take an audi over an american car any day. And i've got two mustangs and a charger in the garage. So you cant call me a "fanboi"...

Personally I would say that the USA produces a lot of cars with a great deal of character. But I would agree that German engineering is second to none. Two different objectives though really.
