okay porn is not the center of everything that is the articles of the federation. oh and timothy zhan trilogy.
how does eerything get wraped up into porn I mean really, really. though I do like lesbian porn. now back on topic please.

Arguing that fans somehow have the 'right' (as defined by the constituional ammendment concerning free speech) to whine, piss, and moan about George Lucas not giving them what they want (as if he somehow owes them anything) is, IMO, like arguing that toddlers shouldn't be punished by their parents for throwing tantrums because they're 'free speech'. It's a ludicrous notion.

Dude, you're taking this "rights" thing WAY too literally. This isn't a court of law here. It's a freakin scifi forum.

Not to mention the fact that he's completely excluding non-Americans who "rights" have absolutely nothing to do with the Constitution.

Humans have rights that extend far beyond the Constitutional Amendments or the Bill of Rights.

What's the harm in fixing errors/production flubs?

I totally agree whats wrong with fixing the fubar's in the movie.
Well there is always the idea of preserving film history. If somebody wants to know what it was like to see the movie that changed the way movies are made and marketed, they really need to see the original theatrical version that did it.

And Greedo getting shot under the table without getting off a shot of his own was one of the best parts of the movie, not a fubar in any sense.

That said, they are his movies and he can do pretty much anything he want to with them. I however as a consumer can choose not to give him any of my money for doing so.

It amuses me how angry people can get over a couple of movies.

These are people that exploded over flames on their 80's robot icon. People who were outraged over a blonde actor taking over a iconic role.

You expected them to be rational?

And I should point out that even in the US, all the Constitution guarantees is that Congress shall not infringe those rights... it has nothing to do with us writing here or anywhere else and bitching about "rights" we do or don't have to get pissed at GL.

The nerd rages are just fun. The best complaints, IMO, are the ones made out of plain stupidity.

I think my all time favorite disgruntled complaint about the PT was something a long the lines of: "My loathing for the prequels is based solely on the fact they tun Vader in to the main character."

No lie.

Is Lucas going and destroying everyone's pre-existing copies of the OT again? Man, I hate that guy.

Not all of us own it already. I'd love to own the originals on Blu-Ray, but it ain't gonna happen. As a result, I will simply never buy Star Wars.
