nominate characters for Marvel movies!

A lot of these ideas will definitely test audience's appetite for really out-there characters. The characters in movies so far have been far more relatable on a human level. But characters like Namor and The Inhumans, who seem hostile to humans, and the Guardians, who are just weird, are going to be a bigger challenge to translate in a mass market movie than anything we've seen from Marvel to date.

I'd definitely love to see Fantastic Four set in 1961. :bolian:

It would also be great to see some of the cool horror characters from the 70s: Werewolf By Night, Man-Thing, Living Mummy, Simon Garth.

It would also be great to see some of the cosmic characters like Captain Marvell, Star-Lord and Warlock.

Aye. This whole Doctor Strange chatter sounds rather iffy already.

Good one!

Namor wouldn't be so much of a challenge. i would focus on the fact that his is from two different worlds. at odds with other Atlanteans and with the surface as well. give him a love interest, either another Atlantean or a surface woman...then kill her. if you do it historically, you could have him wage war against the Nazis, then attack the surface...or vice versa. Namor is a complicated character. i think he could hold the attention of an audience.

I believe Chris Columbus was attached to Namor years ago, but nothing seems to have come of it . . ..

Don't really care about the heroes, but I definitely want to see Quentin Beck on the big screen.

I'm fully in the camp for:
Moon Knight, lets face it MK is cool Batman comparisons aside.
Punisher, who still has yet to be done well.
Man-Thing, I'd include his sometimes revealed ability of telepathy for a more interactive role.
Darkhawk, cosmic time, maybe the amulet could be tied to Asgard?
Ka-Zar, mentioned by another and I like it!
Black Panther, did I miss it or did the thread go 4pgs with BP being named?
Iron Fist, in development hell for sometime now. Ray Park was once attached.

Maybe a few of the characters we've tossed out will land one of these two slots taken in 2014 by Disney/Marvel.
...The first is scheduled for May 16, which is two weeks after The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and the second one is targeted for a June 27 release that year....
So with Sony's, if all goes as planned ASM sequel, Marvel will have a presence of 3 characters for summer '14.

I'd like Reed Richards to develop a rapport with The Watcher.

Although I expect many to disagree, I wouldn't mind seeing The Beyonder either, perhaps as a part of the Cosmic Cube saga.

I'll bet one of those will be Captain America 2 (though I hope they give it a better title than that). Probably the May release. I'd rather Marvel bumped that May release back a couple more weeks to Memorial Day weekend, though. Two weeks after ASM2 might be a little too close.
