Your User Name Sucks!

I wanted a Trek character's name, someone female but not too obvious. Tora Ziyal is my favorite minor character. I love that, despite who her father is, she went to art school, she has a sweet personality and she developed a sense of morality that allowed her to die for a cause she believed in.

...it really fits my personality. Almost everywhere else I've signed up since here I've used itisnotlogical as my user name. It's become a part of the way I present myself to the Internet, I guess.

I've always liked your name. I say that so often!

My username rocks. :mallory:

...

Little did I know that eighteen years later I would still be using it, in multiple locations, and that it would be Copyrighted and be the name of my business. :rommie:

Cool story, RJ. :bolian:

An egregious and most fortunate typo created the eponymous avatar known as Thor Damar. When I first joined here I decided that my username would be Thot Damar, just because I love the irony of the Breen despising Damar holding a Breen rank. Luckily, a r was placed at the end instead of a t and a far better name was born.

And on the dark days of Halloween, Loki Entak will walk amongst us...

Several years ago, I friend and I nicknamed each other Monkey Boy and Donkey Girl for no particular reason. At some point, it evolved into El Mono and El Burro.

I have loads of nicknames but that one is my favourite!

Back when the Spice Girls were huge, 'everyone' had a spice nickname, I was Spooky Spice due to supernatural/paranormal stuff constantly happening to me...

It's my nickname in real life given to me by my swimming coach back when I was in Year 2. I didn't register with it and a few years back checked to see if it was active, it wasn't so I took it up. Rarely do I get to it first. I can only think of one other forum I regularly visit that I've been able to use this as my username, though at one or two places I have it as a screen name.

And here I thought you'd named yourself after that Talarian boy!

As for mine...it's inspired by the episode "Second Skin." I also think the blend of Cardassian and Bajoran traits fits me in some way.

On Halloween, it becomes Nerys Dukat. Some fangirls think that's "dreamy." I think it's a nightmare and represent it as such. :p

She's one of my favorite women ST characters and I use to always call her SevenofNineski, so I thought it would be a fun name to use on here. :borg:

My username really does suck. The only reason I'm called ares93 is because everyone believed the "5" in ARE593 was an "S".

Ares, the Greek(?) god of war is a pretty good name for me anyway. I'm a damn good shot. One of the best in my county, so i'm not complaining.

Mine is a reference to a seen, but unnamed character in season 5 of Babylon 5, who finally receives a name in one of the book trilogies that occur after the series. I don't want to say more because I know some people are currently watching the show for the first time.

Displaying a total lack of imagination, I simply combined my given name with the first syllable of my surname. If I were picking a new username, I might go with a Things to Come reference to match my signature — perhaps “John Cabal” or “Wings Over the World” or “Aerial Bus Driver.”

Well, the Nasat is an alien race from the current line of Trek books. I wanted something Trek-based, this being the Trek BBS, and I originally joined for the literature forum.
I tend to read it as “Nadsat,” the term for the half-Russian jargon spoken by Alex and his droogs in A Clockwork Orange.

My username is also my Xbox Live Gamertag, inspired by the Spectres of Mass Effect fame. ;)

Bog as my witness, I'd never noticed the similarity. :) Although the implied random violence of the axe-wielding Nasat is a pleasing fit.
