My username rocks.
It all started back in the halcyon days of 1993, when the hospital I was working at closed and the president let me take my office computer home with me. This allowed me to sign on to the Internet for the first time. I joined AOL and they asked me to create a username. I tried "BabyDriver" and something else that I forget and both were taken. So I tried "Diogenes." Taken. The system offered to give me Diogenes with a string of random numbers attached, but that was too generic for me, so instead I added my first and middle initials at the beginning. Little did I know that eighteen years later I would still be using it, in multiple locations, and that it would be Copyrighted and be the name of my business.

) nerd-rage. Because the Nasat are peaceful, cautious and probably the least potentially murderous race in Trek lit, I thought it amusing to choose them. Hence, "Deranged Nasat" (this explains why my avatar is often carrying a weapon).
) and partly because my original name was very lame and generic, with just my name and a couple of numbers attached to it. I thought switching to my current name would help make me stand out a bit more.
