i did not like the ending.
i feel it was unkind of them to not let the time traveler go home...
they should have let him go but emty without the stuff he removed.
the ep felt like he ended up being some "LAB RAT" being asked about his time as he sat in some cell.

No, I'm glad they took him.

I mean lets face it, this guy killed the Doctor and stole the TARDIS, as well as changing its default look from the cool police box to some non-descript crystal looking thing

Still, was this the ep the Enterprise fired those cool looking beams from it's deflector and sucked the atmosphere out of an entire planet!?
Those were some good effects for the early 90s tbh :)

I felt it was justifiable. Who knows what he may have already damaged, and letting him go back to his own time would still give him knowledge of the future. Remember the surveys he had the crew fill out? Most of it would be considered mundane in that time frame, but take that knowledge a couple hundred years in the past and you could change the entire course of history.

It was already shown that Rasmussen was unethical, so no, he couldn't be trusted. Now, perhaps he could have been given a mindwipe, but he still would have returned in the 26th century time machine. No, he had to be pulled from the situation entirely.

How could they send him back to the 22nd Century without him using that time machine from the 26th Century? They weren't about let him take it with them. Would you let someone from the 1800s go back home with technology of the 23rd Century?

Plus, it has been a while since i saw this episode but wasn't it on a timer. I think I remember Data saying something about it going back to it's time period aka the 26th Century.

Then he should have minded his own business and stayed the hell home. :klingon:
