To sum it up: Fort Sumter was built following the War of 1812, as one of a series of fortifications on the southern U.S. coast. Construction began in 1827, and the structure was still unfinished in 1861, when the Civil War began.

I never claimed they were built after, I claimed they instigated the war by refusing to leave what was now property of the Confederacy, the fort belonged to the Confederacy, not the Union, the Union refused to leave it.

No it didn't. Fort Sumter was property of the US Federal government, and the Confederacy that attacked it was in open rebellion. The Union army refused to leave it because it was their property. It didn't become Confederate property until after the Union garrison surrendered.

No it didn't. The only way for that to have happened is if the Union legally recognized the independence of the Confederacy; they did not ever do that. So in the eyes of the Union, the Confederacy was a part of the Union, albeit one that was in open rebellion.

Define "the south." It's not like there was a referendum that permitted every southerner to vote democratically on whether to leave the Union or not, was there?

So you mean the governments of each state?

How representative were those governments? Who voted for them? Who was allowed to vote in each state?

Did the governments of those states hold legal title to the land in those states? Did they do so under the same principles of law that permitted them to own, buy and sell other human beings and hold them captive?

Frankly, I doubt that you know enough about anything to even know which if any of those questions make sense, much less what the answers might be.
