Speaking of people you hate, I just upgraded my home Internet connection to fiber.
And it still sucks compared to mine.
I'm thinking of moving from 50mbit vdsl to 100mbit cable.

This is what I get here, which feels pretty fast to me! Here in New Zealand you get "unlimited" speed but you are capped at 5, 10, 20 or 40 Gb usually. You people whining that you are going to get capped at 150Gb -
- have no idea how good you have it compared to the third-rate service we get here. Shit, I wouldn't even know what to do with that much bandwidth!

You think that's insane? My wireless has a latency of 200-250ms! Lucky for me I don't do any online gaming. Not that I'd want to try with my max speed of 1MB/s.

Bring it on. I live in Australia, so our whole country is the middle of nowhere!
And my wireless network is actually a generation behind the mobile phone networks, although I do have a steady connection with the maximum speed I'm paying for, so I don't generally complain about it. I could get faster speeds if I go with one of the mobile carriers, but they have much lower bandwidth allowances, and usually charge you for going over the cap, and all seem to have 12 or 24 month plans.
Since I fart around online at work more than I do at home (thanks taxpayers!), this is more accurate to describe my mpg (miles per Googles)
However, according to my saved Speedtest results...my last Comcast test in March pegged me at a meh 18.05 mbps download/ 4.23 mbps upload.
