Hasta la vista to I, Borg. You suck Beverly. Get your priorities straight, lady. They should have just grabbed you by the collar, & dragged you back to the beamout. Let her complain later to Picard about her Hypocratic oath being more important than the safety of the crew, the Federation, & all intelligent life in the quadrant, so he can shut her up by reminding her that she's not just a doctor, but rather a Starfleet officer doctor

It's an entertaining episode, & Stewart is excellent in this one, but the premise is just a bit too much to call it a great episode

Removed Silicon Avatar. It was a good episode, but I've never been a fan of the crystalline entity or any episodes that involve it.

Removed "Conundrum." It's a good episode, but the ending is a foregone conclusion. Easily the weakest of the remaining episodes.

The 1st Duty. I would just feel dirty if a Wesley episode made it to the top 3 in any season. Sure it's good, & his best episode, But I gotta axe it, just on principle

I'm kind of surprised The Next Phase made it this far too

Yep, I've removed "The Inner Light". "Ensign Ro" is a great episode, with a wonderful introduction to a new character, not forgetting the Bajoran/Cardassian set up.

It's not my favourite of season 5, but since "I, Borg" and some other classics are gone, I much prefer "Ensign Ro" to the hugely over-rated "Inner Light".

So there's your season 5 winner!

Wow - definitely unexpected. Ensign Ro is certainly good, but I don't consider it a classic. I was rooting for Cause and Effect or I, Borg this season.

While the game is somewhat flawed (No offense intended to the original poster), I do like that it's giving us very interesting results. I love Ensign Ro, one of the more underrated episodes of the series, but to see it being the top episode of Season 5 for this game is somewhat shocking but somewhat cool at the same time.

The Inner Light might be overrated as an episode of television, but to my mind that's the burden it must bare as the best single episode of the series.

Not to take the mods' jobs or anything nor am I trying to attack you but maybe because he (or she if it's a female) didn't like "The Inner Light". If they prefered the "Inner Light" over "Ensign Ro" that's their opinion. You may disagree and you do have that right, but you all have rights to your opinions.

Some people probably didn't like my choice in deleting "Unification" but I didn't like the episode and that's my opinon.

Like seriously, I get the feeling in my stomach when the OP gets to Season 7, "Masks" is going to be one of the first episodes (if not thee very first) booted off the list. See, I love "Masks" (maybe not as much as I love Season 6's "Starship Mine") but if somebody feels the need to delete those two episodes from their respective season's for whateverreasonhaveyou, that's their opinion and they have their rights to it.

Bottom line: To each their own.

Well, exactly. No one is implying that the poster made the wrong decision, in this situation there is no wrong decision. We're just saying it's not the decision we would have made. After all this entire process comes down to people's opinions and all are fine in my opinion. It's not as if this ranking system has any affect on my perception of the episodes is it?

That being said, it's a bit fun playing the game though.

Sorry if I mystified people with removing "The Inner light". I'm just not a massive fan, and not only because its over-rated. Don't get me wrong: It's a good episode, but I wouldn't put it in even my top 40 or 50 TNGs. As somebody else said, "to each his/her own".

And the only choice I had was it against "Ensign Ro", which I prefer of the two. If it had been up against "Cost of Living" or "Silicon Avatar" (unlikely for a final 2 standoff, but you never know!) then obviously my choice would be different.

For the record, "Ensign Ro" (though I prefer it TIL) isn't my fave episode from season 5; I think "Cause and Effect" or "I Borg" is.
