Oh and just to verify, if you had a PSN account for another region before the hack(You naughty person), then you can get access to that regions 30 days free PS+ and extra stuff....plus if you had more than one account on your PS3 from before the hack for the same region you could download 4 or possibly all the games on offer.

I just activated the US PS+ and got Comet crash and Sonic 2 as well as a pile of dynamic themes, and Stardust HD from their 2 free games offer......which can all be used on your UK/EU account.

God I'm easily pleased these days.

Do different regions have different games? Because I didn't see Quest for Booty on the list when I looked last night, and I'm huge Ratchet & Clank so I would have noticed it instantly.

My little bro downloading Burnout Paradise because its on offer for PSN + at £0.00 though I assume he will lose it once PSN 30 days run out. I plan to get Lara Croft: Guardian of Light because its £5.10 and I would assume since I paid for it, I won't lose it after 30 days...

I assume only free stuff you get bar the 2 games from the Welcome Package will dissaper after the 30 days?

^ Yeah all the free stuff you get through PS+ is disabled once PS+ expires. However everything you actually buy is yours forever. Same for the free games that we got through the Welcome Back program.

I'm going to get LBP for sure... i'm torn on Game #2, between Infamous, Dead Nation, and Wipeout... any suggestions?

I do tend to like story-driven immersive experiences (Assassin's Creed 2, Mass Effect 2, Uncharted 2, MGS, etc), so I'm thinking *probably* Infamous, but is Dead Nation like that as well?

I might be wrong, but Dead Nation looks to be a top down shooter. I'd probably get Infamous.

Damn, damn damn. I will be getting Little Big Planet though, I've been been wanting to play that since I first got my PS3. I've almost gotten it a couple times, but then I found something else I wanted more.

Far as I'm aware the Gigawatt blades have been free to all for some time now, at first they were a pre-order bonus but that ended.....not part of the PS+.

In fact, I think he was saying the same thing you have, that it's all down to network traffic being overloaded. He only was wishing that they would do do it via region rather than let everyone download at once and overloading the servers.

Thing is, they WERE going to do that, but some markets were beginning to threaten lawsuits over the downtime. Sadly, if they had staggered a week between, say, the US, Japan/Austrailia, and then Europe, I could actually see the EU launch a suit against them for it and Canada already threatened to do so...

Better to deal with a couple of days of slow response due to overload than international litigation so the babies don't have to queue up to suck at the teet.

True, Vance. I guess in a way, they're damned if they do, damned if they don't. I'm willing to wait a few until things are less overloaded in order to download.
