"Jaw-dropping surprise" (The Almost People spoilers)

According to this week's Radio Times:

Watch out for a jaw-dropping surprise this Saturday. "Episode Six has the biggest one," teased lead writer at writer at this season's press launch. RT has been sworn to serecy so must stand before you like River Song waving her tantalising diary of "spoilers!" - but stay alert and you might just guess what is coming...

Make your ill-informed guesses here.

Somebody in the TARDIS has been a ganger for a while now?

Rory is the regenerated 10.5 and Amy is the regenerated Donna?

River Song is the child of Jack Harkness and Lucy Saxon?

I'm still going with Amy has been a ganger since at least Day of the Moon.

I would be surprised if the Doctor couldn't spot such a thing since hes been running scans on her but if true hey maybe Ganger Amy killed the Doctor at the start.

I would be surprised if the Doctor couldn't spot such a thing since hes been running scans on her .

I think that's *why* he's spotted her, why he took them to the factory where he clearly knew gangers were used at the start (almost here? almost people!), why the TARDIS can't decide whether she's pregnant (the real one is) or not (the ganger isn't), and why there's the line in the trailer with him saying to her face "wherever you are I'll find you" - something you don't need to say to someone standing in front of you... unless you're talking to the original who's linked to the ganger in front of you.

It's an interesting idea and way for them to go but I have to admit its annoying the Doc Who team even mentioned the idea of a jaw dropping event because fans can work these things out quickly. I would prefer they just say nothing but I guess buzz = ratings.

What time is the next episode 6:45pm? I do wonder what time the midseason finale will be the week after because England play in a Euro 2012 Q/F in the late afternoon and thats will get about 15 million viewers with BGT to come afterwards.

Which trailer? I've just watched the BBC one from about a month before broadcast, the American one, the one from the end of A Christmas Carol and the one for Saturdays episode and I can't find that line in any of them.

Also, I think given the events of A Good Man goes to War which were revealed somewhere (maybe the Radio Times and if I am remembering correctly) that The Doctor and "Lone Centurion" go steaming across the universe in search of Amy give a huge amount of credence to your theory.

Also, was it me or was Amy wearing the same outfit and hair style as she was in the opening two parter at the beginning of the the Rebel Flesh?

Indeed. Since it ends on a cliffhanger it'd have to either (a) her being kidnapped or (b) discovering that she already has been. And only one of those is "jaw-dropping".

Although to Joe Blogs who don't follow spoilers and the like will be shocked by that if it happens.

Thinking about it, if there was a switch it'd have to have been in the three month gap between Episodes One and Two before the first appearance of Eye-Patch Lady, who's supposed to be Amy's Doctor/Midwife.

The original "real" Doctor is going to die, and the "ganger" Doctor is going to take over in his place.

I'm suspecting/worrying about this as well. It possibly resolves regeneration issues for another fourteen regenerations, and the Doctor went to great lengths to explain how similar the gangers are to the originals.

In fact I'm reallllly going to stick my neck out here and predict the exact nature of the cliffhanger. At the end of the episode all of the Ganagers from last week will be destroyed and melt back into puddles of white goo and so does Amy. Cut to credits!

I wondered whether everyone on the beach is a clone except the Doctor. Just to be different. The whole "dropped them off to get on with their lives" bit didn't make any sense to me.

ooo, that ^ idea is the best ive heard yet. it would be such a shock, and explain why they were all seperated from the doctor to kick the season off. they're all gangers except for the current doctor. which is also why there arent gangers of either rory or amy, as they're already duplicates. i'd put money on this theory...
