What is your favourite sport?

Least favorite to watch --> baseball. When I was younger I enjoyed baseball. But that was back when games took only 2 hours or so to play. Now they're over 3 hours. It's dreadful to watch hitters take forever to get set in the box and pitchers who take forever to pitch the ball. There should be a 7-second clock between pitches. Then I'd start watching baseball again.

Joe West? Is that you? ;)

Football. The one with the round ball where you actually use your feet instead of throwing the ball around. No, I won't use the "S" word.

Football isn't just my favourite sport, it's the only sport I like. A few of my friends keep trying to get me into Cricket, but it just bores the crap out of me. Same with every other sport really, I just can't get myself into anything except football. I did used to watch Formula One racing about 10 years ago, but they managed to successfully cut the balls off it and make it gradually more boring by the year, so I stopped following it.

Football all the way.

I have personally never used the word to describe Football, and I don't know of anyone without an American accent who does these days.

It has a following. I couldn't really speculate as to how large, since I don't follow it myself. I know the major sports channels over here show regular games, and I think Channel 4 (which isn't a dedicated sports channel) also have an NFL programme. Judging by Facebook and Twitter, there were a lot of people over here who tuned in to the Superbowl, but I'd speculate that the majority of them don't follow the sport regularly (seeing as they never usually mention it), and only watched it 'cause it was a major event.

As for Baseball, I never see any scheduled on TV and I've never met a Brit who has expressed an interest in it. That's by no means a clear indication of its popularity over here, but I think it would be fair to say it generates nothing like the level of interest that American Football does over here, which in itself is miniscule when compared to Football, Cricket, Rugby, Tennis, or even Golf.

I love watching Hockey, Football, and Baseball.

To Play: The only sport I played (And wasn't all that great at) was Soccer.

You guys better hurry up if you're going to sign Buck Bokai in 4 years.

I'm not much for competitive sports. Nothing as great as cycling, ripping through the scenery with an endorphin high. :)

Well, maybe the Kings were from London, Ontario... ;)

There is no other sport on Earth that can compare to the thrill that is watching Horse-racing..... particularly Steeplechasing

http://youtu.be/uII-NoaNZ-U

(no idea how to embed a video to this site)

That video just shows a fraction of the excitement (and sometimes heartache) of this sport

And not only have you got the horses to follow, you've also got the amazingly talented Jockeys and Trainers to follow.

Other than the Triple Crown, I really can't get into horse racing unfortunately. Is it something that you could really like if you have money on it. Does seem like a lot of people who like horseracing put money on it, which adds to the excitement.
