    Will it though?

The camera will pan down, focus on his new shiny red boots, and we'll see one of them lifting off the ground and then the other on his tippy toe and then THE SCREEN GOES BLACK!

I'm beginning to think I would prefer being dicked over at this late point in the game because there's no way I won't be underwhelmed by the Dicks trying to work to the utmost of their potential.

I suggest there be a special live commentary thread. I'm sure it would be fun.

We all own a copy already in one form or another.

A worn vhs tape recorded from 2002?

Was Smallville released on prerecorded VHS tapes?

I can say that I do not have the pilot recorded. Have only seen it once, a few years ago and thought it was average at best. Elements of it reminded me of the pilot for "Buffy The Vampire Slayer". Seems to me Miles and Gough intended Chloe, Clark, and Pete to be similar to Buffy, Willow and Xander. Or maybe i'm overthinking the similarity. I won't be rewatching the pilot.

I had Smallville on DVD until all my stuff got ruined. I had Seasons 1-7. I would watch the series on a regular basis...usually watching a disc a day...so I have seen each ep from S1-7 multiple times. I was going to watch the "Pilot" since is has been 2 years since I last saw it.

That TV guide cover sucks...it is total shipper bait, Clois...they should have either done Tom Welling Alone...IN THE \S/UIT!!! :sigh:

If they where going to bring in Kirby elements into the show they would have been better off doing it through Intergang.

Intergang could have been the season long threat. Showing Clark actually fighting crime. You would not have had to see its leadership in every episode. Any high teach crime of the week plot could have been tied into it. Better than showing Darkseid's possessed minions. Which are not threatening and don't involve action scenes.

Through out the season there could be hints thats Intergang's human leaders are getting directions and technology from an otherworldly source. With a reveal of Darkseid at the end.

While Darkseid is certainly a physical threat to Superman rarely did they actually have physical fights. He was more of a mastermind type of figure. At some point all the fanboys wanted to see was brawls. Which diminishes the character. HE IS NOT GOING TO EVER WIN. Hes better as a potential threat.

Than you take the factor of this being Smallville and was never going to have a satisfying fight scene..... oh and detracts from Clark becoming Superman... What was the point?

"Smallville takes flight" is literal. Something happens that causes the entire town to be lifted through the air. And since Clark will be one of the many citizens who are trapped in this town, technically he's flying. :p
