Wonder Woman(NBC) *Spoilers!*

Do we know for certain that the costume has been changed? OK the switch from blue to red boots is certainly a good thing, but seeing as this is an action scene, and half the shots are of a stunt woman, it's possible that the non shiny pants are to give better movement, and for long shots only.

OK, maybe I'm alone in this but I liked the shiny pants.

You are not alone... :)

And yes, the stunt woman has quite the nice shape to her as well. I'd also like to point out that Liz Hurley (at 45!) is looking smoking hot, too. I think I'm going to have to check this show out.

Well if a Justice League movie gets made hopefully they will cast someone more to people's liking. Also do a better job on the costume. ;)

Actually, Carter's arms looks a bit more spindly and frail than I remembered them. She's got more of a bust and hips, but not drastically so.

Glad to hear it!:)

Mind you, I'm one of those people who preferred Lynda Carter's blue wet suit to the proper WW outfit, liked Michelle Pfieffer's costume more than Halle Berry's, and thought Trek needed more catsuits. Heck, there's a character* in my fan-fic who exists because I thought Seven Of Nine should have worn something a bit more figure hugging.

*That's 'character' spelled M-A-R-Y-space-S-U-E. At least I'm honest about it.

Pfeiffer's costume was kind of ridiculous, though nowhere near as awful as Berry's.

My favorite Catwoman costume will always be Julie Newmar's. (Okay, also Lee Meriwether's and Eartha Kitt's, but Newmar looked best in it.) Though it might be nice to see a live-action interpretation of her classic purple dress from the comics. (As for her current garb in the comics, with the aviator goggles or whatever, I think it looks awful.)

^ Agreed. She wore the purple dress in her early appearances (though had no costume in her first, as I recall), and wore it well into the 80s, if not later. Classics don't go out of style.

Those people
A)Don't really 'get' Catwoman
and
B)Are in the S&M department

Agreed on the first part, not so sure on the second. Skin tight latex, a corset and spike heels seems much more S&M than the halloween outfit Berry wore.

Back to the new WW costume, I really don't like the pants, and not just because of my pervy inclinations. The shiny ones went with the shiny top. These look mismatched, like she can't find the lower half of her costume and grabbed the first thing that would fit.

"Great Hera! Disaster on Main Street! I must rush to help....but my trousers are in the wash and it's another forty minutes till the spin cycle ends! I'll just have to wear these old track pants and hope no one notices!"

7 of 9 wearing a more figure hugging outfit? Is it even possible to make a tighter fitting outfit than she wore?

Not 7 of 9 (sorry to give that impression) but a 7 of 9 type, that is to say an unrealistically proportioned gorgeous scientist. And the advantage of prose over TV or film work is that you can ignore the limitations of what can actually be done with materials and fabrics. Nor do you have to worry about an actress' well being. So yes, the outfit is tighter. And kinkier. ;)

I am with you, my sisters! Palicki is still a little skinny for my tastes in terms of an Amazon, but she's tall and she's tough so at least the producers have that much of a clue.

Off-topic, but... score another for Kestra in the confusing-people department!

One of these days.... :p

One thing I know for sure is she can act.
Absolutely. Her being in the title role has seriously changed my attitude about a project I thought was sure to be a joke.

It boggles my mind that Friday Night Lights had such great acting and got so little attention for it...

This girl is reasonably attractive (though no beauty) and by no means voluptuous. She looks like a college athlete with implants. That just isn't Wonder Woman.

Surely you jest...

I quite like that one myself. It's probably one of the few (if only) female comic book costumes out there that's sexy while still being practical and utilitarian-- and not looking like it's about to fall off of her at any moment. lol

She had a few costumes from the 60s through the 80s. As hi-lighted here. The dress was MIA for over a decade.

Right; I didn't mean wore it exclusively. For all I know she still wears it occassionally, though I don't think so.

Oh, I'm sure that's true. I just think the goggles look silly.

Wonder Woman dolls!

Wonder Woman has consistently been portrayed since her creation as beautiful and voluptuous. Carter was both. This girl is reasonably attractive (though no beauty) and by no means voluptuous. She looks like a college athlete with implants. That just isn't Wonder Woman.

Carter was beautiful, but you have an odd idea of voluptuous if you think she was such back in the 70s. She was skinny. Sofia Veragara is voluptuous. Or Sophia Loren for that matter, if you want a contemporary.
