SMALLVILLE Winter Hiatus Thread *Spoilers!*

I must be the only one who remembers the "Chloe is Lois" rumors

Poster- What if "Lois" dies and Chloe takes her name as a tribute to her cousin?

LOL

@Photoman 15, yes I'm well aware of Lois Lane's history in the Superman mythos. I was referring to the dialogue in the series. Lois was essentially given the same type of lines and delivery as Chloe has.

If they killed Lois as played by Erica Durance the fandom would freak out! Didn't you know Erica walks on water!?

WHAT!?

No, what I'm saying is that since they knew (10 years ago) that Lois didn't live in Smallville (or know Clark when he lived there), they created the Chloe character to be Lois's replacement. When they brought Lois in, they in effect had two Lois characters (for a while till Chloe became Watchtower).

^ I'm well aware of that as well. You missed the entire point of my post and I got what you were saying in yours. I wasn't talking about Chloe being a Lois construct when she was originally created. I was referring to the fact that as her character progressed on the series Erica Durance was given more "Witty" dialogue that has been more Allison Mack's forte on the series and it basically made her a Chloe clone.

Today was the last day of filming

@kryptonsite I've heard that some of the iconic #Smallville sets are already coming down :-( Somebody save something for me up there!
@alseptien A GIANT SHOUT OUT to Smallville's illustrious cast and crew on their LAST DAY OF SHOOTING : ( Thanks for 10 AMAZING YEARS!!!!!
@alseptien And a special SHOUT OUT TO our showrunners: Brian Peterson, Kelly Souders for leading us up, up and away...

I always wondered this, but for those whom watched Seinfeld back in the day. There's a character named Crazy Joe Davola. Was he named after the same Joe Davola from Smallville? Has Joe Davola been a long time tv producer? Did Larry David work with him at some point?

Edit-wiki'd it, I guess he was. Haha that's hilarious!

Well, there was a comic-related convention/show in town today so I checked it out and ended up spending way more money that I had planned to. I spent $50 for a artist rendering of Dr. House by Bryan Ward. I got bootleg DVDs of The Holiday Special (which I already have from other sources) but my thought was you can't go to one of these things and not buy a bootleg of the thing; a bootleg of the Captain America movie from 1990 and...

As a guest there was Alaina Huffman who played the Black Canary in a handful of episodes of Smallville, as well as being in SG:U. Wish I had taken a picture with me and her but I didn't want to seem like too much of a creep there and I got her signature on a card with her on it with the rest, in part, of the JLA from Smallville which, unfortunately, doesn't have a very good shot of her in it but the other photos available where either glamor shots of her or Stargate stuff, the latter I'm not into the former, again, I didn't want to seem like a creep by having her sign a picture of her half-naked.

But in person she seemed like a nice young woman, very pretty (not a personal fan of her look in Smallville) and friendly.

^ That sounds pretty cool. Vancouver doesn't have a big comic con yet, which sucks and is a little surprising. There are minor ones here that I've never bother to go to because of the lack of interesting guests.

Eh, this one wasn't very big, it was in one of the smaller venues around the area and most of it was filled with vendors selling back-issues of old comics or bootleg/Asian DVDs. There were some noted artists and guests there but it wasn't very "big."

^ Sounds like the ones we have. You'd think Vancouver would put in a bid for a Wizard Con or something like that. Hell we just got the Star Trek convention back last year. The biggest con that I can think of that occurs is the Stargate convention that happens around April. Not even sure it was held this year. There's not even a Smallville con in the place where it's filmed!!!
