Mark me down for 0 as well. Not that I mind...I'm still only a freshman in college, and none of my high school relationships got to the point where either of us were ready for sex. They were all wonderful gals, and all of them ended on good terms. I dunno...I've always been of the opinion that sex and high school don't really mix. I mean, it happens, but people should be kids while they can!

Now that I'm in college, and entering into what could very well turn out to be my first 'adult' relationship...we'll see where things go.

I think some of this has to do with how old you are. Not only because if you are older, you've had more time to have more relationships, etc...but also because pre-1984/5 or so, we weren't concerned about things like AIDS, for the most part....and most of the people who were in their late teens and early 20's during those years were also sort of part of the tail end of the 'sex, drugs and rock & roll' generation.

All in all, it was just a different era.

What I would have been interested to see is the age distribution along the curve. Because I'm guessing that most of us who are over 45 or so grew up with a very different mentality about sex than some of the younger people, who grew up in a time of much less 'excess' when it came to things like drinking, drugs, and sex.

Naw, this was the same for me in high school. I wasn't all that interested in dating, period. I'd go on a ton of single one-off dates for the food and company, but that was about it. ;) A lot of the guys at my school just pissed me off too much. When I finally did settle on someone at the tail end of high school, it caused a complete and utter drama-fest.

High schoolers are just plain old not mature enough to know what the hell they're getting into. Good luck in college. :)

Just as I was about to become really active (back in the day) AIDS came along and ruined a lot of things -but... then came the Rubber-Ware parties! -they usually ended in a fun way. I doubt I would have had that much sex if it weren't for those!

I don't know about the AIDS thing, I became sexually active after a massive campaign on the subject and I can't say I gave the matter much thought - you'd go out, get drunk, wake up in a strange bedroom...

I was pretty well-prepared, except I didn't have a condom. Other than that, I think I did a pretty good job.
