A show which, thanks to him and him alone, no longer offers him employment and may be over.

Had he died, I would have said recasting is silly and they should just end the show. Why should it be different in this situation? The reason why Sheen is gone isn't important at all here, imo.

More like a damned fool from the picturesque descriptions and evidence of his behavior. It wouldn't surprise me if he were to pull the same foolish stunt that William Hayes did on October 7th, 1970, concerning illegal substances.

As far as rehabilitation is concerned, it would almost take a version of the neural neutralizer to cure him of his addictions and mental mania.

According to the Hollywood Reporter a few minutes ago:

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed Thursday night that police are at Charlie Sheen's house.

An LAPD spokesperson confirmed the news but declined to provide further details.

The news was first reported by TMZ, which said that law enforcement were converging as part of a "pre-planned raid." TMZ's sources said the LAPD has been conducting an investigation into criminal activity that may involve drugs.

The LAPD spokesperson said a statement would be coming shortly.

And someone who is at the house tells us cops may be attempting to put Charlie on an involuntary -- 5150 -- psychiatric hold.

UPDATE: Someone at the house tells us, one of the reasons the cops are there is because Charlie allegedly violated the temporary restraining order Brooke Mueller obtained ... which prohibits Charlie from possessing weapons
